That means only 45% of students are registered.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">This has been an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvtm13.com\/article\/5-000-students-not-registered-for-birmingham-city-schools-days-before-first-day\/40822778\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">issue in the past <\/a>for the district, which is why they are pushing for parents to get ahead of registration.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">Every year, children must be registered even if they are returning from the previous school year.
