Just thinking about it gets me misty-eyed.<\/p>\n<p>But what about this update? What could this new firmware possibly bring to the party? Here&#8217;s the official patch notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We&#8217;ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Holy smokes! That&#8217;s some good stuff. I&#8217;ll remember this day for, wow, at least a few more days.<\/p>\n<p>The update comes in at about 1.2 GB, so I was sort of hoping for a little more than this, but there you go.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still curious when we&#8217;re going to see the purported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/news\/2026\/04\/heres-a-better-look-at-ps5s-redesigned-home-menu-currently-in-beta\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UI changes<\/a> roll out to everyone, but until then, we have improved messages and usability on some screens to keep us going.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll update the article if any hidden changes in this firmware are discovered.<\/p>\n<p>Are you thrilled by today&#8217;s new PS5 firmware?
