\"\"<\/a>SHEFFIELD hope to end their run of three meetings without a win when they host defending champions Ipswich on Thursday (July 23, 7.30pm).<\/p>\n

The Tigers lost on the night and let the aggregate point slip away to the Witches last week and were beaten at home by King\u2019s Lynn last time out in South Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

They did, however, secure a point on the road at Northampton on Monday night following their 45-45 draw – a result which saw them sneak back into the top four on points difference.<\/p>\n

Earlier on in the year, Sheffield opened their home league programme with a 52-38 win over Ipswich, courtesy of a strong second half showing.<\/p>\n

And that is something that team boss Simon Stead is hoping they can do again, despite having to run Rider Replacement at No.1 once more.<\/p>\n

Said Stead: \u201cWe\u2019ve, sadly, exhausted our options when it tries to coming to get a suitable enough guest for this Ipswich meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s only King\u2019s Lynn and Northampton not racing on Thursday and only having two teams to look through, it does limit your options.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first choice rider has other racing commitments this weekend and logistically, with his plans already in place, he couldn\u2019t commit to us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe tried a couple of other riders who just didn\u2019t fancy it and we looked at potentially flying a rider in for this one – but we just couldn\u2019t find a way that would work for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is disappointing, but the rest of our lads have just got to really knuckle down on Thursday and do everything they can to get another win on the board.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lads are desperate to do that and if they show a similar level of fight, determination and commitment that we saw at Northampton on Monday, then we can ask no more.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully that will be enough to get us some more points on the board so that we can start climbing the table again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ipswich bring in Jordan Jenkins to guest at reserve in place of the injured Kevin Juhl Pedersen whilst former Sheffield man Danny King will make a late call on his fitness as he continues to struggle with rib injuries – despite his 12 point maximum against the Tigers last Thursday.<\/p>\n

Tigers Ten Tickets are valid and holders must show their card at the hut outside Napoleons Casino to receive their parking free of charge before gaining admission via the VIP gate next to the main turnstiles.<\/p>\n

Racenight+ tickets, which include admission, 1x Official Racenight Programme, Centre Green viewing of Heats 8-11, plus a signed photograph selected at random upon entry, will remain on sale until 12 noon on the day of the fixture via http:\/\/www.sheffield-speedway.com\/ticketoffice<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Racenight+ admission can be gained via the VIP gate next to the main turnstiles.<\/p>\n

Standard admission tickets can be purchased by cash or card at the turnstiles on racenight only which open from 6pm. Supporters are advised that Turnstile 1 is Card ONLY whilst Turnstiles 2 and 3 are both cash and card. All supporters aged 17 and under will be admitted for free and can gain entrance through any turnstile.<\/p>\n

The seventh issue of our \u2018Tiger Talk\u2019 Racenight programme will also be available for \u00a34 on entry to the stadium.<\/p>\n

And \u2018Tigers Jackpot\u2019 tickets will again be on sale upon entry to the stadium. Our records indicate that the winning combination ticket WAS sold against King\u2019s Lynn – if you had the lucky ticket, you have until 7.15pm on Thursday to claim your prize of \u00a3552 from the Speedway Office – otherwise the jackpot will roll on.<\/p>\n

Supporters can also make enquiries on the night via the Speedway Office which will now be open between 6pm and 7.15pm.<\/p>\n
