\n\tFollowing its Cannes<\/a> premiere, Richard Linklater<\/a>\u2018s black-and-white tribute to Jean-Luc Godard<\/a> has released a sneak peek.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the first teaser for Nouvelle Vague<\/a> (New Wave), premiering October 8 in theaters, Guillaume Marbeck portrays the French-Swiss filmmaker as he directs his first feature, 1960\u2019s Breathless, in Paris.<\/p>\n

\n\tFeaturing the same warm black-and-white \u201960s film aesthetic of the seminal source film, Nouvelle Vague is \u201ctold in the style and spirit in which Godard made Breathless,\u201d directed by Linklater from a script by Vince Palmo, Mich\u00e8le Halberstadt, Laetitia Masson and Holly Gent.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with Marbeck as Godard, the cast includes Zoey Deutch<\/a> as American actress Jean Seberg and Aubry Dullin as her French co-star Jean Paul-Belmondo.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe teaser features shots from Nouvelle Vague, narrated by a woman in French. \u201cA pretty boy. A pretty girl. Paris 1959. A gym. A director. A camera. Film. A producer. An ing\u00e9nue. Stars. Money,\u201d she says, leading up to the title card.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
