{"id":1108797,"date":"2026-07-24T15:57:48","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T15:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1108797\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T15:57:48","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T15:57:48","slug":"a-brand-new-drive-in-cinema-is-coming-to-hill-dickinson-stadium-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1108797\/","title":{"rendered":"A brand new drive-in cinema is coming to Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hill Dickinson Stadium will host its first-ever drive-in cinema this August Bank Holiday weekend, as Movies on the Mersey brings three days of big-screen entertainment to Everton\u2019s waterfront home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking place at Hill Dickinson Stadium across Saturday 29 August, Sunday 30 August and Monday 31 August, the event will give families and film fans the chance to enjoy a unique cinema experience from the comfort of their vehicle, with films shown on a giant LED screen overlooking the River Mersey on the stadium footprint.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the sun sets over the Mersey, guests will be able to tune in through their car radio via FM transmitter and enjoy a programme of family favourites, classic sci-fi comedy, much-loved musicals and a special Everton screening.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/STAD-0156-Drive-In-Cinema_Assets_Social_1080-x-1350-scaled-e1784894113514.jpg\" alt=\"Credit: Everton FC Hill Dickinson Stadium Drive-in Cinema\" class=\"wp-image-246084\"\/>Credit: Everton FC<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The weekend opens on Saturday 29 August with Disney-Pixar favourite\u00a0Finding Nemo\u00a0at 6pm, followed by the feel-good musical\u00a0Mamma Mia!\u00a0at 9pm.<\/p>\n<p>\n\ud83d\ude84\n<\/p>\n<p>Heading to London this summer?<\/p>\n<p style=\"&#10;font-size:22px;&#10;line-height:1.8;&#10;margin-bottom:28px;&#10;color:#fff;&#10;\">\nSave money with the Avanti West Coast Summer Sale. Each ticket includes access to the stadium footprint, a designated parking space with a view of the big screen and in-car audio via FM transmitter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The weekend concludes on Bank Holiday Monday with a special 7.30pm screening of\u00a0Howard\u2019s Way. Entry will operate on a pay-what-you-want basis, allowing guests to choose their contribution, with every donation supporting the life-changing work of Everton in the Community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those wishing to attend without a vehicle, a dedicated lawn area will also be available, with guests able to bring their own chair.
