Leeds United<\/a> are looking likely to overhaul the goalkeeper position this summer, as James Trafford comes in to take the starting spot over Lucas Perri.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke has not ever been able to truly rely on his first choice goalkeeper at Elland Road. This summer sees that needing to change, with Karl Darlow gone and Lucas Perri<\/a> also likely to leave.<\/p>\n

James Trafford is the man that Leeds are closing in on signing<\/a>, which paves the way for the Brazilian to secure his exit too.<\/p>\n

Leeds United\u2019s Lucas Perri expected to fly to Turin for Torino transfer this weekend<\/p>\n

What happens with Perri is totally contingent on Leeds\u2019 hopeful agreement to sign Trafford this month. Leeds can\u2019t really afford to confirm on \u2018keeper\u2019s exit without the other already joining.<\/p>\n

However, it looks as though Perri is set to leave Leeds imminently as a loan to Torino<\/a> in the Serie A reaches the final stages this weekend.<\/p>\n

The latest comes from Sport Mediaset\u2019s Orazio Accomando<\/a>, who shares that Perri is expected to fly out to Italy this weekend.<\/p>\n

A loan deal has been previously been reported as the likely transfer, and now Perri is set to finalise it in the coming days, if these reports are accurate.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, this also suggests that Leeds could be close to finalising a deal for Trafford too. Leeds won\u2019t be letting the 28-year-old go without confirmation the Manchester City ace is heading our way.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s hope Lucas Perri regains his confidence away from Leeds United<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a shame it hasn\u2019t been working out here for Perri. There\u2019s definitely a good goalkeeper there in my opinion, his catalogue of saves last season is quite impressive.<\/p>\n

But, there are plenty of things to be concerned about with him in goal. As a result, I cannot blame Farke and the 49ers for looking to replace him.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, a move to the Serie A under significantly less pressure allows him to thrive and rebuild his stock in goal.<\/p>\n

For Leeds, this surely means that Trafford is close. We can\u2019t be letting Perri go on the eve of our first pre-season game without a replacement to follow.<\/p>\n
