Bristol is known for its eclectic music events, having birthed massive names in the world of music <\/a>– from Massive Attack<\/a> and Portishead, to Idles.<\/p>\n

And this Bank Holiday<\/a> weekend is packed full to the brim, with some massive live festival events <\/a>taking place in and around the city.<\/p>\n

The weekend will see some staples in Bristol’s events calendar. Love Saves The Day will be taking place at Ashton Court Estate<\/a>, while Dot To Dot<\/a> will take over venues across the city.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there’s a Rum & Reggae Festival<\/a> at Motion, Bedminster’s Beer Trail makes a return in South Bristol<\/a>, and there’s a festival in Chew Valley that isn’t Valley Fest (which is on a break until 2026).<\/p>\n

So, whether you’re warming yourself up for some of the bigger festivals later this festival season (Glastonbury <\/a>anyone?!) or are simply looking to celebrate your Bank Holiday weekend with some top artists, sunshine (hopefully) and venues not too far from your doorstep, Bristol has got you covered.<\/p>\n

We’ve compiled a list of all you need to know about some of the biggest Bristol music festivals taking place this weekend…<\/p>\n

When: <\/strong>May 24-25<\/p>\n

Where: <\/strong>Ashton Court Estate<\/p>\n

What can we expect: <\/strong>Dubbed ‘Bristol’s biggest music festival’, Love Saves The Day<\/a> is known for bringing some of the most exciting DJs and live performers from across the country each year.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the year it was announced that Overmono and Nia Archives will headline the Saturday and Sunday of this year’s festival, respectively.<\/p>\n

The ‘breakout queen of jungle’, Nia Archives will be bringing her signature junglist sound to close out the bank holiday Sunday, while electronic duo Overmono feature a ‘genre-blurring fusion of UK garage and techno’ as they ‘blend live elements with their incredible soundscapes’ as Saturday\u2019s headliners.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, among other names on the line-up<\/a>, crowd favourites Skream & Benga will reunite for a rare performance at the festival, as well as D&B legend and festival favourite Shy FX, rappers Giggs and Ghetts, female-only DJ collective Girls Don’t Sync, and the likes of Wilkinson, Andy C, Groove Armada, Eats Everything, and more.<\/p>\n

Tickets are still available via the official Love Saves The Day website<\/a> – at time of writing weekend tickets are at tier 4 pricing (\u00a3153.60), while Saturday and Sunday day tickets are on Tier 6 (\u00a385.20) and Tier 5 (\u00a382.40) pricing, respectively.<\/p>\n

When: <\/strong>Saturday, May 24 (from around 12pm – 11pm)<\/p>\n

Where: <\/strong>Various venues across the city<\/p>\n

What can we expect: <\/strong>This year sees the 20th anniversary of this beloved music event, and the line-up is packed with acts who will be taking to some of Bristol’s most iconic stages throughout the day.<\/p>\n

The festival, which takes place in Bristol and Nottingham on different days of the weekend, announced earlier in the year that The Horrors will return as special guests following their headline appearance in 2018.<\/p>\n

Fat Dog, Sprints, Lapsley, Honeyglaze, Kate Bollinger, Nimino, Lord Apex, Snooper, Armlock, Ava Joe, Girlpuppy, and more, are also on the line-up this year – you can see a full list of every artist playing, here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Venues taking part include the O2, Electric Bristol (formerly SWX), Thekla, The Fleece Rough Trade, The Louisiana, Strange Brew, The Island, The Exchange, The Lanes, Mr Wolfs, Zed Alley, and The Shakespeare.<\/p>\n

Back To Mine\"TVTV presenter and DJ Gok Wan <\/p>\n

When: <\/strong>May 23-25<\/p>\n

Where: <\/strong>Chew Valley (Woodford Ln, Chew Stoke, Bristol, BS40 8XR)<\/p>\n

What can we expect: <\/strong>Back To Mine<\/a> is described as being ‘famous for its eclectic music curation and trailblazing legacy in after-hours culture’, and for ‘having redefined nightlife for over two decades’.<\/p>\n

Well known as a celebrated CD series, the label now brings its ‘signature vibe’ to life through ‘exclusive, intimate gatherings’ – and it is coming to Chew Stoke\/Chew Valley this Bank Holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

Boasting luxurious glamping, festivalgoers are promised curated DJ sets, live music and dance, and very limited tickets available per day for a ‘once in a lifetime’ event strictly for over 21s.<\/p>\n

The line-up<\/a> for this event includes the likes of Gok Wan, Maxxi Soundsystem, Fish56Octagon, Roni Size, Gia, Paranino, Sam Divine, and more.<\/p>\n
