Bruce Springsteen and Stephen Graham met up as The Boss kicks off his European tour<\/p>\n

Fans were wowed as Bruce Springsteen<\/a> and Stephen Graham met up for some lunch over the weekend. The Boss is currently in the UK for the European leg of his tour, named The Land of Hope and Dreams.<\/p>\n

The 75-year-old has one more date left to play at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena before he heads to France for three shows later this month. The Born in the USA singer will return to the UK next month for two highly anticipated gigs at Anfield<\/a> stadium. Bruce is gearing up for the gigs in style as he enjoyed a meal with one of Liverpool’s most famous sons.<\/p>\n

He was pictured with Adolescence star Stephen Graham <\/a>at Norman’s Restaurant in Kirkburton, West Yorkshire. A post shared on the restaurant’s Instagram account featured the two stars as they posed with kitchen staff. The post was captioned: “Absolutely honoured to have these two absolute legends over for a spot of lunch @stephengraham1973 @springsteen<\/p>\n

“Can think of worst ways to start the weekend!.” Norman’s Restaurant is branded as a “neighbourhood kitchen” and features on the Michelin Guide.<\/p>\n

People took to the comments of the post<\/a>, shared with the restaurant’s 6,189 followers, to react in disbelief at who they hosted. Lotty said: “Amazing!!”<\/p>\n

@the.urban.kitchen.cafe posted: “Very surreal, must have been amazing for you guys. Their minders\/bodyguards came and ate with us at the same time.”<\/p>\n

Jen commented: “Absolutely incredible.” @pookysu said: “OMG !!!! Amazing!” Melanie added: “Incredible.” Marko said: “No way!” Sarah posted: “No way!”<\/p>\n

Bapi said: “What the absolute hell! @stephengraham1973 and @springsteen, both utter legends in their respective fields. It must have been an upmost honour to host them both.”<\/p>\n

Stephen, who hails from Kirkby<\/a>, is set to play Bruce’s dad, Douglas Springsteen, in the biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere, which is expected to be released next year. The Bear star Jeremy Allen White stars as Bruce in the upcoming film, which is set during the recording of The Boss’ iconic 1982 album, Nebraska.<\/p>\n

Stephen has spoken about his interactions with Bruce on the Jimmy Fallon show earlier this year. Speaking about Bruce, he said: “He’s absolutely phenomenal.<\/p>\n

“He’s such a humble, kind, generous, person. For my research, I listened to his audiobook. It’s great, the richness in his voice and him reliving all them beautiful stories.<\/p>\n

“When he talks about his dad he creates a different persona so I nicked what he done and that voice he did. Such a wonderful man and he’s got time for everyone on set. He’s so humble.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about his correspondences with Bruce during an appearance on the podcast, Soundtracking, Stephen revealed he was in tears after a message he received from Bruce about his portrayal in the upcoming film.<\/p>\n

He said: “He\u2019s a working-class hero. He\u2019s an icon to thousands, to millions. And his text just said, \u2018Thank you so much. You know, my father passed away a while ago and I felt like I saw him today and thank you for giving me that memory\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was crying reading the text, do you know what I mean? Oh mate, it was beautiful. You couldn\u2019t ask for anything more, you know, to share that with someone was gorgeous. He\u2019s a lovely man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bruce is coming to Stephen’s home city next month with two gigs in L4 on Wednesday, June 4 and Saturday, June 7, 2025. Bruce has previously admitted he will realise a long held dream when he performs the shows in Anfield<\/a>. In an interview with Simon Mayo for Greatest Hits, he said: “I’m very excited about that.<\/p>\n

“I’ve never been there. If you come from America, you want to see Liverpool.” The Boss likened Liverpool to some of the biggest landmarks in his home state of New Jersey.<\/p>\n
