Royal author Simon Vigar hails Meghan Markle\u2019s \u201chuge Princess Diana potential\u201d in his new book The Four Wives of Windsor, praising her as \u201cobviously a massive asset\u201d who was \u201cbrilliant with the crowd\u201d and \u201cwould have been a major player\u201d.<\/p>\n
He singles out her Grenfell cookbook as proof she is \u201ca doer\u201d, lamenting \u201cit is such a shame that it\u2019s gone to waste\u201d.<\/p>\n
Unlike Diana, who wed at 20, Meghan arrived at 36 with \u201cdifferent expectations\u201d and \u201cexpected total PR control, which was not possible in the British royal family\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mr Vigar says of the Duchess of Sussex: \u201cShe should have been, could have been, fantastic for the royal family but egos on both sides got in the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
By 2019 \u201cnobody was talking to each other\u201d and the couple \u201cseemed to be on a path where they felt alone\u201d.
