Tom Holland has revealed he has a \u201creally clear vision\u201d of how he will pass the Spider-Man baton to the next actor who takes on the role.<\/p>\n

Following the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the 30-year-old actor has shared his thoughts on the future of the franchise and confirmed that it\u2019s already been discussed in \u201cmeetings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holland, who recently commented on the franchise\u2019s “remarkable achievement”<\/a>, sat down with Josh Horowitz for an episode of his Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast to discuss his latest outing as Peter Parker.<\/p>\n

At one point, Horowitz asked the BAFTA Award winner: “Will you know when it’s time to pass the baton? And have you imagined how you\u2019d want that to go down?\u201d<\/p>\n

The British actor responded immediately and confirmed: \u201cOh yeah, there\u2019s a whole plan that we have been working on for\u2026 I would say, since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s laid out. It\u2019s gonna change, for sure. But I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it\u2019s really exciting. I know I get really excited when we have these meetings and chat about it,\u201d he revealed, before adding: \u201cBut that is the thing that I want to do most in this character, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horowitz followed it up by asking Holland if he thinks there\u2019s room for various concurrent Spider-Men, name-dropping Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who have both portrayed the comic book superhero in previous movies.<\/p>\n

Holland, who recently married his long-term partner Zendaya<\/a>, replied: “Of course I do, are you kidding? I think what’s been so fun over these last few years is that there are so many different Spider-Man mediums.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have Spider-Noir that came out a few weeks ago, we have my version, we have the stuff that Sony\u2019s been doing, we have the animated movies that Sony make, which are just like the best Spider-Man movies that have ever been made, those animated movies. The heart in those movies is out of this world,\u201d he said, before adding: \u201cOf course there’s room for it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Holland first made his MCU debut as Spider-Man in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, before starring in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, and Avengers: Endgame in 2019, as well as Spider-Man: Far From Home.<\/p>\n

Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in 2021, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit cinemas on Wednesday (July 29) and has already received positive reviews.<\/p>\n
