scheme.<\/p>\n<p>A planning application has been submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk\/topics\/glasgow-city-council\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Glasgow City Council;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Glasgow City Council<\/a> to use the vacant\u00a0Drumchapel Park Pavilion into a\u00a0a cycling workshop, multi-purpose community space and community cafe.<\/p>\n<p>The bid would be part of the\u00a0Drumchapel Town Centre Regeneration, for which the area received \u00a315million from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk\/topics\/uk-government\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:UK Government;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">UK Government<\/a>\u2019s Levelling Up Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Documents read: &#8220;The revised project focuses on adapting Garscadden House for use as a community hub under the working title, Drumchapel Town Hall, assembling housing sites in Hecla Square and improving the public realm and road infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The former bowling pavilion in Drumchapel Park was identified as a suitable boost<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new building would allow people of all ages to learn to ride bicycles and learn about maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>Papers added: &#8220;Furthermore, there are a number of capital projects which may impact upon the delivery programme of this project, such as Antonine Court\u2019s demolition of their current premises and construction of new premises on Dunkenny Road and Wheatley Homes Glasgow\u2019s construction of 70 residential units on Abbosthall Avenue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The use of the old bowling greens around the building will be subject to a further planning application and a consultation\u00a0with Sports Scotland and Glasgow Life.<\/p>\n<p>Glasgow City Council officials are reviewing the <a href=\"https:\/\/publicaccess.glasgow.gov.uk\/online-applications\/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=dates&amp;keyVal=SUSX11EXGZ500\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:application;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">application<\/a> and a decision is expected by Friday, July
