That\u2019s probably the biggest misconception,\u201d he shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s still that belief that there\u2019s just an exercise or two that you need to do for that. That\u2019s not how it is. Abs are not going to be gotten through just the exercise. It\u2019s always about nutrition.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to Cavaliere, nutrition is the most significant determining factor for visible abs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cNutrition determines body fat levels above everything else. Now, when you get lean enough, if you\u2019re not doing any type of ab training, you\u2019ll probably have less defined abs because you won\u2019t have the development of that muscle.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>His Supplements:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cavaliere highlighted that creatine and protein powder are his top two supplements for building muscle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote align-center\">\n<p>\u201cFor building muscle, the two that rank at the very, very top of the list are going to be creatine, any form of creatine,\u201d he shared. \u201cCreatine and a protein powder.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He admits some individuals don\u2019t see protein powder as necessary since they can ensure their intake with food. However, he pointed to how expensive protein sources have become, making protein powder a more affordable and convenient option.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSome people want to argue the necessity of a protein powder, and I guess if you\u2019re getting enough through your diet, you don\u2019t have to take it. It\u2019s not a necessity. You\u2019re not getting anything magical from the protein powder that you\u2019re not getting through your food, it\u2019s just that you\u2019re doing it at a much more economic cost.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you look at the price of protein these days, it\u2019s certainly becoming a little bit unrealistic to think you\u2019re going to meet your daily goals. For me, my daily goal is around at minimum, a gram per pound of body weight and upwards of 1.2 grams of body weight, if you\u2019re active.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to creatine helping with building muscle, Cavaliere can\u2019t ignore its <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/elon-musk-joe-rogan-creatine-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">neurological benefits<\/a> either.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s [creatine] has been around forever, and the benefits have been known forever. The neurological benefits that creatine is showing in terms of depression, degenerative neurological diseases, and its improvement and ability to slow and prevent things like MS and Parkinson\u2019s, by basically keeping the brain in a more favorable bioenergetic state,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=epAVydG6IxI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Longevity, strength, and a better quality of life are also top priorities for Jeff Cavaliere. He recently broke down <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/5-key-exercises-for-longevity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five key exercises for mobility and power<\/a>, which were all executed without the use of equipment. He explained, \u201cThey are big indicators that you still need to be able to do, no matter what age you are to maximize that quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cavaliere continues to break down complex topics in the fitness space to provide his fans with insights.
