Ineos will have some regrets over the transfer business done at Manchester United over the last 12 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sir Jim Ratcliffe<\/a> and Ineos<\/a> have been in charge of Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> transfers for the past two windows after completing a minority takeover deal.<\/p>\n

So far, Ineos\u2019 recruitment has been flawless<\/a> with all seven new signings making a positive impact at the club this season.<\/p>\n

But in order to fund the incomings, Ineos had to overhaul the squad and sell several players. That includes Scott McTominay, who has become an idol at Napoli this season following his \u00a325 million sale.<\/p>\n

Selling the Scottish midfielder will be a regret for Ineos, and they will also likely regret selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka<\/a> to West Ham given how impressive he has been with the Hammers this season.<\/p>\n

In the summer, Wan-Bissaka was sold to West Ham for \u00a315m<\/a> \u2013 a staggering \u00a335m loss for United after he was signed for \u00a350m from Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

Wan-Bissaka was named \u201cbest in the league\u201d<\/a> by Ryan Giggs, and he has lived up to that title during his first year at West Ham.<\/p>\n

Recently, Wan-Bissaka starred against United<\/a> on his return to Old Trafford and now he has been given a well-deserved reward for his success this season.<\/p>\n

As we approach the end of the 2024\/25 season, West Ham have announced that Wan-Bissaka has won their \u2018Hammer of the Year\u2019 award.<\/p>\n

It is the equivalent to a Player of the Season award, or United\u2019s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award<\/a> which was won by Bruno Fernandes this season.<\/p>\n

Aaron Wan-Bissaka wasn\u2019t a good fit for Ruben Amorim<\/p>\n

Wan-Bissaka was sold by United in the summer and replaced by Noussair Mazraoui, and Ineos won\u2019t be overly disappointed with that swap.<\/p>\n

Mazraoui has been impressive since arriving at Old Trafford, and his versatility in playing at both wing-back and centre-back has proven extremely valuable this season.<\/p>\n

While Wan-Bissaka thrives defensively, he often struggled to provide an attacking threat on United\u2019s right flank. Whether he would have suited Amorim\u2019s wing-back setup is up for debate.<\/p>\n

Amorim wants two wing-backs who can stretch play and threaten from out wide, hence why Amad Diallo\u2019s future is at wing-back next season.<\/p>\n
