An urgent CCTV appeal has been issued by police over what they called ‘deeply concerning’ incidents on Metrolink<\/a> trams.<\/p>\n Two reports of ‘indecency’ are under investigation – and an image of a man police want to speak to taken from a CCTV camera has been issued.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> has appealed to anyone who recognises the man to come forward.<\/p>\n In a statement issued on Sunday, the force said: “Officers investigating reports of indecency on Metrolink services across Greater Manchester would like to speak to the man in the picture, as we believe he could assist us with our enquiries.”<\/p>\n The first incident is said to have happened on the Oldham<\/a> and Rochdale<\/a> line at around 11.30pm on Friday, April 14.<\/p>\n The second incident happened on board a tram travelling between Victoria Station and Deansgate<\/a> Castlefield between the times of 11.25 and 11.40pm the following day.<\/p>\n Pc Carl Kelly, from GMP’s Transport Unit, said: “We are currently investigating two separate incidents of indecency that occurred on Greater Manchester’s Metrolink tram network.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n “These incidents are deeply concerning, and we want to reassure the public that we take crimes of this nature incredibly seriously.<\/p>\n “No piece of information is too small \u2013 even details that might seem insignificant could be vital in helping us identify those responsible.
