{"id":1126689,"date":"2026-08-02T21:46:37","date_gmt":"2026-08-02T21:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1126689\/"},"modified":"2026-08-02T21:46:37","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T21:46:37","slug":"new-homes-completed-on-former-foxfield-school-site-in-moreton-birkenhead-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1126689\/","title":{"rendered":"New homes completed on former Foxfield School site in Moreton \u2013 Birkenhead News"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Regional housebuilder\u00a0Lovell Partnerships\u00a0has\u00a0marked the completion of the transformation of the\u00a0former\u00a0Foxfield School site in Moreton,\u00a0delivering affordable homes and significant community investment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0brownfield\u00a0site\u00a0was bought by Lovell from Wirral Council in 2024 following a competitive tender process,\u00a0with planning and\u00a0construction\u00a0accelerated\u00a0to deliver a 66-home development of\u00a0two- and two-and-a-half\u00a0storey\u00a0two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delivered\u00a0in partnership with\u00a0North West\u00a0housing association\u00a0Onward Homes,\u00a0the development\u00a0has transformed a long-vacant site\u00a0off Douglas Drive\u00a0into a new mixed-tenure community. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development provides a mix of terraced and semi-detached homes, offering two-, three- and four-bedroom properties across a range of affordable tenures including shared ownership, affordable rent and Rent to Buy through Onward.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tahreen Shad, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said, <\/strong>\u201cWorking alongside Onward Homes and Wirral Council, we have transformed a long-vacant site into a thriving new community that\u00a0provides\u00a0high-quality, affordable homes for local people for years to come. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis\u00a0brownfield regeneration\u00a0development\u00a0demonstrates\u00a0what strong partnerships can achieve when there is a shared ambition to unlock much-needed housing. These homes not only meet local demand, but also prioritise sustainability, accessibility and placemaking.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During construction, the project supported local employment and skills opportunities through apprenticeships, work placements and engagement with local schools and colleges.
