Here\u2019s a rundown of the latest results before we get started:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Tour de France Femmes, Stage 3, Mon 3rd August:<\/strong><\/strong>\u00a01st Sigrid Haugset, Uno-X Mobility, 4h 05min 59sec; 2nd Lotte Kopecky, SD Worx-Protime, +1min 24sec; 3rd Marianne Vos, Visma-Lease a Bike, +2min 48sec.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tour de Pologne, Stage 1, Mon 3rd August:\u00a0<\/strong>1st Jonathan Milan, Lidl-Trek, 5h 04min 11sec; 2nd Paul Magnier, Soudal Quick-Step, +00sec; 3rd Noah Hobbs, EF Education-EasyPost, +00sec.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tour de France Femmes, Stage 2, Sun 2nd August:\u00a0<\/strong>1st Lorena Wiebes, SD Worx-Protime, 3h 42min 08sec; 2nd Elisa Balsamo, Lidl-Trek, +00sec; 3rd Marianne Vos, Visma-Lease a Bike, +00sec.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tour of Denmark, Overall, Sun 2nd August:\u00a0<\/strong>1st Wout van Aert, Visma-Lease a Bike, 19h 22min 23sec; 2nd Luk\u00e1\u0161 Kubi\u0161, Unibet Rose Rockers, +21sec; 3rd Henrik Pedersen, Uno-X Mobility, +28sec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Red Bull partner up with FDJ United-Suez<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FDJ_SUEZ_RedBull_TRIO_BySevenOneThree_6988-819x1024-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-267488\"  \/>FDJ United-Suez<\/p>\n<p>Leading women\u2019s team FDJ United-Suez has announced a new partnership with energy drink giant Red Bull as the team\u2019s \u2018Major Partner\u2019 and \u2018Official Energy Drink Partner\u2019 with riders now sporting the famous Red Bull helmets.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This new partnership in women\u2019s cycling, a first for Red Bull with a women\u2019s team, brings together two organisations driven by a shared ambition to raise the standards of professional cycling,\u2019 the team said. <\/p>\n<p>The news follows the team\u2019s signing of American MTB star Kate Courtney, who already had a personal sponsorship with Red Bull.<\/p>\n<p>Tadej Poga\u010dar to ride the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Tour-de-France-Stage-14-Cyclist-18-juillet-2026-60-970x647.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-266063\"  \/>Xavier Pereyron<\/p>\n<p>Tadej Poga\u010dar will ride the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclist.co.uk\/news\/vuelta-a-espana-route\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a<\/a> for the first time since his Grand Tour debut in 2019 when he finished third. <\/p>\n<p>Winning the Vuelta\u2019s red jersey would complete Poga\u010dar\u2019s set of all three Grand Tours, and shouldn\u2019t change his final targets of the season, the World Championships in Canada and Il Lombardia.<\/p>\n<p>There aren\u2019t many races Poga\u010dar is left to add to his palmar\u00e8s, but this is the biggest one.<\/p>\n<p>Lorena Wiebes and Sigrid Haugset win at Tour de France Femmes<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/20260801TDFFAZ2267-A.S.O.-Gaetan_Flamme-scaled.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-267491\"  \/>A.S.O.\/Ga\u00ebtan Flamme<\/p>\n<p>Lorena Wiebes kicked off the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclist.co.uk\/in-depth\/tour-de-france-femmes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tour de France Femmes<\/a> with two consecutive stage victories, earning her the race\u2019s first yellow jersey. <\/p>\n<p>Stage 1 uphill finish in Lausanne shattered the peloton, but Wiebes held on against puncheurs and GC favourites to power her way to victory ahead of Kim Le Court-Pienaar.<\/p>\n<p>Wiebes&#8217;s SD Worx team had to work through their entire squad to claw back Riejanne Markus back on Stage 2, with the peloton eventually swallowing up the Lidl-Trek rider in the final kilometre after Liv AlUla Jayco took over. Wiebes then surfed wheels and found a gap to open her sprint and win by a country mile.<\/p>\n<p>That would be the end of the Dutchwoman&#8217;s yellow reign though. Stage 3 began with a Category 1 climb straight from the flag, and it would prove too much for Wiebes and the other sprints, leaving the next maillot jaune wearer to be decided among what remained of the peloton. Uno-X Mobility&#8217;s Sigrid Haugset attacked with 88km to go and delivered the ride of her life to hold off Lotte Kopecky and take a memorable stage win and the yellow jersey. She goes into Tuesday&#8217;s time-trial with a 2min 2sec GC lead.<\/p>\n<p>Demi Vollering crashes before live coverage begins<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/20260802TDFFAZ2096-A.S.O.-Gaetan_Flamme-1-scaled.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-267493\"  \/> A.S.O.\/Ga\u00ebtan Flamme<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the flag drop on Stage 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclist.co.uk\/in-depth\/demi-vollering-profile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Demi Vollering<\/a> came down in a crash alongside Puck Pieterse and EF Education-EasyPost riders Noemi R\u00fcegg and World Champion Magdeleine Vallieres.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully all were able to remount their bikes, with Pieterse going on to claim maximum QoM points in two of the day&#8217;s climbs to jump into the lead of the mountains classification.<\/p>\n<p>Wout van Aert delivers free mobile data for fans<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"776\" height=\"970\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/G9qI3smW0AAyA-V-776x970.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-233079\"  \/>Visma-Lease a Bike<\/p>\n<p>Wout van Aert launched his own WVA Mobile phone network alongside Belgian telecom provider Telenet and it\u2019s already proving worthwhile for fans. There are two packages available: the Sprint plan is \u20ac13 a month for 20GB of data and unlimited calls and texts, the Monument plan is \u20ac35 per month for unlimited data, calls and texts in addition to exclusive content. Customers also get access to \u2018exclusive cycling content\u2019 such as behind the scenes footage as well as virtual rides, but the big perk is that every Van Aert victory sees customers rewarded with a free 2GB of data.<\/p>\n<p>Immediately following that announcement, the Belgian made his return to racing at the Tour of Denmark and won three consecutive stages as well as the overall and points classifications. Thanks Wout.<\/p>\n<p>The latest transfers<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Tour-de-France-Stage-13-Cyclist-17-juillet-2026-64-1-970x647.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-266035\"  \/>Xavier Pereyron<\/p>\n<p>The start of August means teams have begun to make official announcements of rider transfers. <\/p>\n<p>Two of the biggest moves so far are Mikel Landa signing for Basque team Euskaltel-Euskadi and Tour de France stage winner Mauro Schmid moving from Jayco AlUla to Pinarello Q36.5.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Alpecin-Premier Tech have been busy, signing the trio of Iv\u00e1n Garc\u00eda Cortina, Casper van Uden and Madis Mihkels, and Cofidis have signed Valentin Madouas from Groupama-FDJ United.<\/p>\n<p>There is one immediate transfer, with Victor Langellotti moving from Netcompany Ineos to XDS Astana in order to ride the Vuelta, which starts in his home nation of Monaco later this month.
