support community-led schemes<\/p>\n<p>Community groups, charities and social enterprises across Wales can apply for grants of up to \u00a375,000 a year to help tackle gambling addiction and debt.<\/p>\n<p>Public Health Wales (PHW) and the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) have launched a \u00a31.4 million fund to support local, community-led initiatives over the next two years.<\/p>\n<p>Applications open on Monday August 31, with money available for public awareness campaigns, outreach work, and targeted support for families affected by someone else\u2019s gambling.<\/p>\n<p>Funding will prioritize projects working with high-risk groups, including residents facing financial hardship and those in the criminal justice system.<\/p>\n<p>Helen Erswell, consultant in public health at PHW, said the fund aims to support \u201corganisations closest to those most affected\u201d to deliver early intervention work.<\/p>\n<p>Registered charities, community interest companies (CICs), and voluntary groups can request up to \u00a375,000 annually.<\/p>\n<p>A joint information webinar for prospective applicants will take place on Wednesday August 12 ahead of
