Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade<\/a> has been making waves in the action RPG space for a while now, but the title’s just been hit with its third delay in the space of one year or so.<\/p>\n

It’s not for the reasons you might expect, though. As Taiwanese developer 7Quark<\/a> explains on social media, the studio and its partners have simply been overwhelmed with pre-orders for the game’s physical limited edition.<\/p>\n

“The demand for the limited edition on various platforms far exceeded our expectations,” it writes. Basically, production needs to increase, and 7Quark itself has to “handle additional approval processes”.<\/p>\n

The team’s now using this as an opportunity to try and ensure the smoothest possible launch on all platforms \u2014 including PS5 and PS4.<\/p>\n

Previously slated for the 24th April, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is now targeting a 15th May release date.<\/p>\n

Again, this one’s looked promising for quite some time, drawing comparisons to games like Hades<\/a> because of its story and lore-related roguelike elements.<\/p>\n

There are three playable characters: the immortal swordswoman Shigure, the plucky monster child Sara, and the demon samurai Taketora. Each of them come with their own playstyles and abilities to master, alongside their own storylines.<\/p>\n
