\"Mafia:<\/a><\/p>\n

Mafia: The Old Country<\/a> was a solid single player story game<\/a> \u2013 but releasing as a cheaper game did clip its wings a little at launch.<\/p>\n

Hangar 13\u2019s hugely improved on the endgame offering with its Free Ride content<\/a> a little after launch, and it looks like upcoming expansion Man of Honor is going to seriously bolster the amount of activities in the game.<\/p>\n

While the dev is keeping the story missions \u2013 starring Mafia: Definitive Edition\u2019s<\/a> Ennio Salieri \u2013 underwraps for the time being, it\u2019s shown off all the new Free Ride content being added to Sicily\u2019s sandbox as part of the DLC.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This includes a ton of new contracts with a variety of unique gameplay scenarios, such as one where you\u2019ll need to defend a car being towed by a truck.<\/p>\n

New weapons include a 10-round shotgun and a rifle with explosive rounds, but I\u2019m most interested in the new throwing knives which can bounce between multiple enemies, taking out two or more goons with one blade.<\/p>\n

I expect this content\u2019s story, due out on 14th August, to be fairly modest overall \u2013 I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to extend the running time by dozens of hours. But all of these new open world activities look entertaining enough.<\/p>\n

And to be honest, I enjoyed the core campaign enough to come back for this second helping. What about you?<\/p>\n
