Founder Max Graham is opening Bar Douro Soho at 10 Greek Street this October, marking ten years since he first introduced Londoners to Portuguese wine and port from that very same street, running the Churchill’s Port House pop-up there in 2013, three years before Bar Douro’s original London Bridge site opened for real.

It’s a full-circle moment, and Soho gets some serious exclusives to mark it. The restaurant will be the first in the UK to import and serve Maronesa vaca velha, a PDO-protected, mature-cow beef from Portugal’s remote Trás-os-Montes mountains, prized for its deep flavour and marbling and rarely found beyond the Iberian Peninsula. It’ll headline several dishes, including a grilled vaca velha ribeye on the bone. Beyond that, expect the usual Bar Douro favourites like Croquetes de Alheira and Bacalhau à Brás alongside new, Soho-exclusive dishes, all backed by what’s already one of the UK’s largest Portuguese wine lists, featuring producers like Hugo Mendes and Quinta das Bágeiras.

The space itself will have counter dining around an open kitchen, an azulejo-tiled dining room and a dedicated cellar room for producer dinners and tastings.

Key Information

Opening date | October 2026 (reservations open late August)
Address | 10 Greek Street, London W1D 4DH
Website | bardouro.co.uk

The new restaurant lands on Greek Street this October, back where it all began.
