What do you think of Fire Emblem: Fortune\u2019s Weave<\/a>, then? Looks like another solid strategy RPG for Nintendo folk, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

But if you don\u2019t have a Switch 2, at least there\u2019s Beaten Path<\/a> to look forward to.<\/p>\n

With all due respect, this Kickstarter<\/a>-funded tactics title \u2013 due out in 2027 \u2013 doesn\u2019t look bad at all, and it\u2019s clearly wearing its Fire Emblem influences on its armoured sleeve.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

No seriously, it\u2019s not even hiding it \u2013 the blurb reads:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMaster the battlefield with careful positioning, unit synergy, and decisive abilities. Flank enemies, exploit terrain, and command devastating abilities in grid-based encounters inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Obviously this doesn\u2019t have the budget of Intelligent Systems\u2019 series, but I think the character portraits are pretty, and I quite like the shading on the environmental art.<\/p>\n

As you\u2019d expect of the genre, there\u2019s a full job system and tons of team building potential, as well as the promise of full voice acting and more.<\/p>\n

And if that\u2019s not enough SRPG goodness for you, don\u2019t forget Brigandine Abyss<\/a> is out later this month as well.<\/p>\n
