<\/p>\nOn June 3, 2025, the global Internet Computer community will gather in Zurich, Switzerland, for the highly anticipated 2025 World Computer Summit. <\/p>\n
The summit is a celebration of the Internet Computer Protocol\u2019s fourth anniversary, representing a major milestone.<\/p>\n
Held under the theme \u201cReimagining the Internet for a Decentralized World,\u201d this full-day event will dive into the transformative vision of the World Computer: a decentralized, global computing platform designed to host applications, data, and\u00a0digital assets with end-to-end security and without centralized control.tamper-proof, and sovereign digital space.<\/p>\n
The event is inspired by a bold vision, one that Dominic Williams, the visionary architect behind Internet Computer\u2019s blockchain revolution, shared in 2021 as a tweet:<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce I heard the words \u2018World Computer\u2019, I wasn\u2019t able to think about much else. It had to be realized. Objective: every system and service rebuilt + reimagined on fast and unlimited blockchain using smart contracts, with no need for traditional IT.\u201d<\/p>\n
Today, that vision lives on within the Internet Computer ecosystem as it is redefining what\u2019s possible through Web3, AI, and the Self-Writing Internet.<\/p>\n
