Sarah Platt<\/a> (Tina O\u2019Brien<\/a>) makes a heartbreaking decision in Coronation Street next week as she ends her relationship with Kit Green<\/a> (Jacob Roberts<\/a>), convinced it\u2019s the only way to stop him throwing his life away for her.<\/p>\n With Sarah behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of Theo Silverton <\/a>(James Cartwright<\/a>), she\u2019s got more than her own future to worry about. While Kit has been doing everything he can to support her, Sarah decides enough is enough and sacrifices her own happiness to protect the man she loves.<\/p>\n Despite insisting her feelings haven\u2019t changed, Sarah tells Kit their relationship is over.<\/p>\n She makes it clear she still loves him, but can\u2019t stand by and watch him risk his career trying to save her. But while he\u2019s drowning his sorrows, someone else sees an opportunity.<\/p>\n Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances- Brown)is quick to notice Kit\u2019s vulnerable state and wastes no time making her move.<\/a><\/p>\n Although Kit brushes her off when she first approaches him, Jodie isn\u2019t ready to give up. Catching up with him again on the street, she tells him there\u2019s nothing worse than a broken heart before offering to buy him a pizza.<\/p>\n On the surface it seems like a kind gesture, but viewers know Jodie rarely does anything without an ulterior motive.<\/p>\n With Kit emotionally exhausted and struggling to process Sarah\u2019s decision, could he end up playing straight into her hands?<\/p>\n \t\t The split comes as Sarah continues to face a difficult time behind bars.<\/p>\n Things get off to an unsettling start when a tough-looking inmate fixes her with a chilling stare, immediately leaving Sarah on edge.<\/p>\n When Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) visits her, she\u2019s horrified to find Sarah with a badly bruised face. Despite the obvious injuries, Sarah insists she\u2019s fine and tries to play down what has happened.<\/p>\n Sarah later opens up to fellow inmate Kacey, admitting she\u2019s desperately worried about Harry and grateful that her ex-partner has stepped in to help look after him while she\u2019s in prison.<\/p>\n However, she\u2019s stunned when Kacey casually reveals it\u2019s common knowledge inside that her ex is a police officer, leaving Sarah wondering just how much the other inmates know about her life.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Kit throws himself into helping Harry as he tries to keep busy following his split from Sarah.<\/p>\n He and Bethany agree it\u2019s best if Harry stays at the flat, while Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) offers to take him to Little Big Shotz so Bethany can enjoy a date with Roman.<\/p>\n \t\t But Harry is still struggling to come to terms with everything that\u2019s happened.<\/p>\n When Kit explains he won\u2019t be able to look after him the following week because he\u2019s booked him into Little Big Shotz for the entire week, Harry completely loses his temper.<\/p>\n In an emotional outburst, he throws his dinner across the floor, leaving Kit to pick up the pieces while Bethany is away on her date.<\/p>\n Already reeling from losing Sarah, Kit suddenly finds himself juggling heartbreak, childcare and the emotional fallout of Sarah\u2019s imprisonment.<\/p>\n With Sarah convinced ending their relationship is the only way to save Kit from ruining his future, and Jodie seemingly ready to exploit his vulnerability, the question is whether the split really is the end for the couple, or if this latest heartbreak will only bring even more trouble their way.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow![\"Sarah](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/SEI_305301522-03a9.jpg\")
