Jordan Spieth has experienced a really challenging 2026 PGA Tour season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spieth is still waiting for his first PGA Tour win since April 2022 and the harder he works on his game, the more he seems to struggle.<\/p>\n

However, the 33-year-old from Dallas, Texas, has made the FedEx Cup playoffs.<\/p>\n

Jordan Spieth<\/a> ended the regular PGA Tour<\/a> season in 54th position in the FedEx Cup<\/a> standings.<\/p>\n

The three-time major champion will need to play well this week in Memphis if he is to move on to the BMW Championship the following week.<\/p>\n

Spieth has kept an unusually low profile since The Open Championship<\/a>, refusing to partake in as many media duties as he has done previously.<\/p>\n

However, he will be buoyed by his top-20 finish at the Wyndham Championship last week, and qualifying for the FedEx Cup playoffs will undoubtedly have boosted his confidence.<\/p>\n

Jordan Spieth achieves feat never before seen on the PGA Tour<\/p>\n

Spieth will tee it up at TPC Southwind for the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The 13-time PGA Tour winner will be looking to record his first top-10 finish of the season in Memphis.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite incredible to think that Spieth has not finished inside the top-10 all season long, yet still managed to qualify for the playoffs.<\/p>\n

In fact, Spieth\u2019s achievement is even more remarkable than you may think.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because he has become the first golfer to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs without recording a top-10 finish throughout the regular season since the PGA Tour changed the qualifying threshold to 70 players.<\/p>\n

What that does show is that despite the fact that Spieth has received plenty of criticism for his performances this season, he has been incredibly consistent.<\/p>\n

Jordan Spieth\u2019s PGA Tour results in 2026<\/p>\n

Spieth has only missed three cuts in 21 PGA Tour starts this season.<\/p>\n

Although Spieth has zero top-10s to his name, he has racked up nine top-25 finishes.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the key, though: four of those have been top-12 finishes.<\/p>\n

One of those came at The Masters and two of them were in Signature Events \u2013 the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Genesis Invitational.<\/p>\n

So, Jordan Spieth stockpiled the vast majority of his FedEx Cup points in huge PGA Tour events.<\/p>\n

Obviously his main aim will be to return to the PGA Tour winners\u2019 circle as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

However, qualifying for the FedEx Cup playoffs should not be written off as nothing. At the very least, Spieth has prolonged his season by one more event.<\/p>\n
