It is spearheaded by last year’s Roland Garros finalist and former champion at this event, Alexander Zverev. It will undoubtedly be a very exciting week of tennis in this historic venue. But who will advance on ATP Hamburg day two?

ATP Hamburg Day 2 Predictions
Raphael Collignon vs Brandon Nakashima

Head-to-head: Nakashima 1-0 Collignon

Nakashima is the far more consistent and thus higher-ranked player, but a slow clay court really evens up the odds here. Collignon played well in qualifying to get to the main draw, and he’s generally quite comfortable on clay. It should be a very tight match, and Collignon could definitely score a big upset victory here if he keeps up the level he has shown in the past few days.

Prediction: Collignon in 3

Borna Gojo vs Jiri Lehecka

Head-to-head: first meeting

Lehecka has been struggling after a strong start to the season, and this is his last chance to gain some confidence and momentum ahead of Roland Garros. On paper, a matchup on clay against Gojo is very favorable for Lehecka, and he should at least snap his losing streak here and advance to the second round of this event.

Prediction: Lehecka in 2

Embed from Getty Images

Elias Ymer vs Alexandre Muller

Head-to-head: Ymer 3-0 Muller

Ymer dominates this head-to-head, but Muller has made a lot of strides lately, especially this year. He has shown the ability to play very well on clay, and at this point in their respective careers, he should have the edge in this matchup, even if Ymer played at a very good level to make it past the qualifying stage.

Prediction: Muller in 3

Alexander Zverev vs Aleksandar Kovacevic

Head-to-head: first meeting

Zverev took a wild card to this tournament after disappointing performances in Madrid and Rome saw him lose his #2 spot in the rankings to Carlos Alcaraz. Zverev’s 2025 season has been a big disappointment after his run to the final in Australia, with a title in the other ATP 500 played in Germany (Munich) the only bright spot. That said, at this point in Zverev’s career, it’s all about trying to win a Slam, and this tournament is more than anything an opportunity for him to gain some form and confidence for Roland Garros. Against Kovacevic on clay, he should, in theory, have no issues.

Prediction: Zverev in 2

Main Photo Credit: Robert Deutsch – Imagn Images

This week’s ATP 500 event in Hamburg is being played the week right before the French Open this…

[4105
51630,51631,4721,51632,13326,25103,51633,51634,51635,51636,51637,51638,51639,51640,51641,51642,51643,51644,51645,51646,79,1068,14653,14654,16,15
0":"post-114286","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tennis","8":"tag-aleksandar-kovacevic","9":"tag-aleksandar-kovacevic-predictions","10":"tag-alexander-zverev","11":"tag-alexander-zverev-predictions","12":"tag-alexandre-muller","13":"tag-alexandre-muller-predictions","14":"tag-atp-hamburg","15":"tag-atp-hamburg-predictions","16":"tag-atp-picks","17":"tag-atp-predictions","18":"tag-borna-gojo","19":"tag-borna-gojo-predictions","20":"tag-brandon-nakashima","21":"tag-brandon-nakashima-predictions","22":"tag-elias-ymer","23":"tag-elias-ymer-predictions","24":"tag-jiri-lehecka","25":"tag-jiri-lehecka-predictions","26":"tag-raphael-collignon","27":"tag-raphael-collignon-predictions","28":"tag-sports","29":"tag-tennis","30":"tag-tennis-picks","31":"tag-tennis-predictions","32":"tag-uk","33":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
