The official opening of the newly revitalised Norton Lees Care Home in Sheffield by independent provider Agincare is the family-owned care group\u2019s first in the north of England.<\/p>\n

This expansion builds on Agincare\u2019s national presence and ethos of delivering high-quality, person-centred care, including home care, live-in care, care and nursing homes, supported living and not-for-profit children\u2019s services.<\/p>\n

The official ribbon was cut by Adam Luckhurst, Director and eldest son of Agincare\u2019s founder Derek Luckhurst, alongside residents Doreen and Audrey, pupils from Mundella Primary, and the care home team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcoming Norton Lees into the Agincare family is a real honour,\u201d said Adam. \u201cWherever we go, we raise standards, build trust, and become a thriving part of the local community. Norton Lees will be no different.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Noton Lees community celebrated as residents, families, schoolchildren, health and social care professionals, and neighbours were treated to a warm welcome featuring a sparkling drinks reception, a delicious home-cooked buffet, and a performance by the Mundella Primary School choir.<\/p>\n

A charity raffle added to the feel-good atmosphere, raising funds for the school\u2019s PTA and cementing Norton Lees\u2019 commitment to its community connections.<\/p>\n

New Home Manager Phill Seddon, a qualified nurse with two decades of health and social care experience, led the celebrations with his team.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a fantastic day,\u201d said Phill. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to begin this new chapter alongside our residents, families, and fantastic care team. My focus is on creating a stable, supportive, and joyful home \u2013 where every resident feels valued and truly at home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Purpose-built to accommodate up to 80 residents, Norton Lees Care Home offers personalised care in a peaceful residential setting, welcoming both privately and publicly funded residents.<\/p>\n

Guests on the day shared heartfelt reflections on the positive changes. Margaret Price, niece of resident Doreen, said:<\/strong>
\u201cMy Auntie Doreen has been here for two years, and I\u2019ve seen a huge increase in the mood and togetherness at the home. The carers are amazing and you can tell that she feels settled, it\u2019s her home and you can sense the friendships among residents.\u201d<\/p>\n
