One teenager found that out after his girlfriend<\/a> developed a migraine and finally fell asleep against him.<\/p>\n Not long after she dozed off, his mom texted and asked him to help walk the family dogs, including one that can be difficult to handle.<\/p>\n He said no for the moment and offered to do the dishes instead so his dad could take the dog later.<\/p>\n However, his family thought he was being ridiculous and accused his girlfriend of manipulating him.<\/p>\n Keep reading to learn the full story.<\/p>\n I (19M) and my girlfriend (19F) were at my house yesterday, and we were just sitting in my room watching TV.<\/p>\n After a while, she started getting a migraine. She ended up lying against me with her head on my chest and rested there, and also mentioned that it felt worse than her normal ones. Her migraine meds make her a little drowsy, so she was asleep.<\/p>\n A little later, my mom texted me asking if I could come help with the dogs. We have two dogs, and one of them is a bigger dog that pulls pretty hard when he gets excited. Usually, me or my dad takes that dog, just depending on whoever is home\/not busy, but he was in the middle of cooking dinner and couldn\u2019t just leave what he was doing at the moment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n At this time, his mom wanted him to help.<\/p>\n My mom texted me in the family group chat asking if I could take the bigger dog while she took our other dog.<\/p>\n I texted back saying I couldn\u2019t right now because my girlfriend had a migraine and was resting on me.<\/p>\n My mom replied saying she could sit by herself for a little bit and that I was being ridiculous. My dad texted after saying it would only take 20 minutes and that I needed to help out, and that my girlfriend was being a baby.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Then, his dad got involved.<\/p>\n I told them I understood, but I didn\u2019t want to wake my girlfriend up and move her when she was finally comfortable, and that my dad could just take him after dinner, and that I\u2019d wash the dishes in return so that my dad didn\u2019t have to do them after cooking and could walk the dog.<\/p>\n My dad told me I was being very immature, and I told them that I really didn\u2019t want to get up because of how she was feeling, and that I would do the dishes after I took her home.<\/p>\n They both just texted me, \u201cOK,\u201d and ended up walking the dogs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Now, both of his parents are upset with him.<\/p>\n The next day, my dad was annoyed, and we argued about it. He said it was ridiculous that I wouldn\u2019t get up for 20 minutes just because my girlfriend was lying on me. Before I could even speak, my sister (14F) added that it sounded like she was being manipulative.<\/p>\n I said that I just wanted to stay with her since she was in pain, and that they were all being ridiculous, and that I did the dishes to make up for it.<\/p>\n My dad said that it wasn\u2019t the point and that I skipped helping family for some whiny girl. I told him to screw off and left, and we haven\u2019t spoken since.
