Sony has just announced Ghost of Yotei<\/a>: Complete Edition, a new version of the open world action game that contains a bunch of brand new single player content.<\/p>\n

Available to purchase now, Complete Edition grants access to a single player DLC entitled Echoes of Sekigahara, as well as a new roguelike survival game mode titled Most Wanted, both of which are launching later on 1st October, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Echoes of Sekigahara tells a new story, introducing new characters and locations:<\/p>\n

“Split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu\u2019s time on the mainland, you\u2019ll meet Nagato, a figure from Atsu\u2019s past who has arrived in Ezo. In the present, you\u2019ll explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang of loyal followers, the Vipers. In the past, you\u2019ll experience Atsu\u2019s time in the Battle of Sekigahara and a key moment in her life before she returned home for her quest for vengeance. You\u2019ll meet new enemies and find new heavy weapons, new armor sets, new dyes, and more.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Most Wanted mode has you accepting bounties, and taking down enemies during your run will earn you upgrades to make you more powerful. You’ll also unlock extra characters to play as, each one specialising in one of the game’s main weapons.<\/p>\n

The Complete Edition also throws in the online co-op mode Legends<\/a>, all the digital goodies from the original game’s Digital Deluxe Edition, new music for Watanabe Mode, new photo mode stamps, additional cosmetics for New Game+, and new Trophies.<\/p>\n

For those who already own Ghost of Yotei, you can purchase the Complete Edition upgrade for $14.99\/\u00a311.99, granting you access to the new features and content.<\/p>\n

All owners of the original game are being treated to a free Beauty of Y\u014dtei mode, which essentially turns the game into a screensaver that cycles through environmental shots. Also included in the 1st October patch will be quality-of-life updates, such as keeping an “armor set\u2019s appearance while using a different set\u2019s stats.”<\/p>\n
