A new outdoor space at a cafe<\/a>\/bar from the team behind a venue in St George has opened in Stokes Croft.<\/p>\n

Stokes By The Orchard<\/a> is the second location from the team behind The Orchard Coffee & Co, whose first site opened on Clouds Hill in 2017.<\/p>\n

Known for its pancakes, brunch dishes, artisan bakes and coffee, the dog<\/a>-friendly venue branched out to open its Stokes Croft<\/a> location at Hamilton House in September 2024, in the former home of Emmeline<\/a>, and now this location has a wooden al fresco area serving up drinks in the summer sun.<\/p>\n

On Instagrame, Stokes By The Orchard showed off its brand new outdoor seating area, as well as a few tipples from its menu of natural wines, local beers and cocktails.<\/p>\n

In one post, The Orchard said: “Weekends just got tastier. Come and sip with us every weekend from 3pm-8pm.”<\/p>\n

Local icon Jeff Knight, known to many as a Big Issue seller in the area, cut the ribbon to open the new place a couple of weeks ago, and since then fans have been taking to the comments section to share their excitement.<\/p>\n

One localsaid: “Love The Orchard. Glad it’s you guys taking on that awesome space on Stokes Croft.”<\/p>\n

Another added: “So good to see you guys expanding.” While a third added: “Love the one near me on Two Mile Hill, look forward to visiting this new space.”<\/p>\n

In April, The Orchard shared some shots of its new menu, with one diner writing: “I ABSOLUTELY loved the vegan meal I had. It was butter beans and other lovely stuff on sourdough toast. Perfection on a plate.<\/p>\n

“My husband had a huge sandwich then an even more huge sponge cake which could have been served to a party of four. You have a very good chef.”<\/p>\n

The venue may pass you by if you’re not looking out for it in the famed Turbo Island area.<\/p>\n

Next to The Canteen, and the famous Banksy ‘Mild Mild West’ graffiti, Stokes By The Orchard has a simple banner sign which hangs from the foliage looking out towards the street.<\/p>\n

The previous resident of number 80 Stokes Croft, cafe Emmeline, now has a cafe space at Spike Island Art Gallery, where it serves up ‘nutritious, wholesome, good value food and drinks’.<\/a><\/p>\n
