Three people were forced to evacuate after a fire broke out at a property in Salford.<\/strong><\/p>\n The blaze started on the bottom floor of a home on Littleton Road on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) crews were called to reports of the fire at around 4.15pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the fire service said it took them less than three hours to bring the blaze under control.<\/p>\n Equipped with breathing apparatus, the firefighters managed to contain the fire on the bottom floor of the house, limiting the damage.<\/p>\n Three people evacuated the property before firefighters arrived and were handed over to North West Ambulance Service personnel to receive treatment.<\/p>\n The GMFRS spokesperson said: \u201cAt around 4.15pm on Thursday, 13 August, fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a home on Littleton Road, Salford.<\/p>\n \u201cThree fire engines from Eccles, Whitefield and Philip\u2019s Park attended the incident.<\/p>\n \u201cFirefighters using breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilator extinguished the fire, which was contained to the ground floor of the house.<\/p>\n \u201cThree people had evacuated the property before firefighters arrived and were handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n \u201cCrews spent two hours and 50 minutes at the scene extinguishing the fire and making the area safe.\u201d<\/p>\n Related <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Three people were forced to evacuate after a fire broke out at a property in Salford.
