The Jordanian royal family has not one, but two new additions! Princess Iman<\/a> of Jordan and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis<\/strong> have welcomed twins. The babies, both girls, were born on Friday, August 14. Their arrival was announced by the Royal Hashemite Court.<\/p>\n

“The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Princess Iman and Mr. Jameel, as well as to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion,” the court said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iman’s older brother Crown Prince Hussein<\/strong> celebrated the news, writing on his Instagram Story (translated to English): “Thank God for the complete grace and great favor Beautiful blessing and faith.”<\/p>\n

The newborns join big sister Amina<\/strong>, making Iman and Jameel a family of five and now parents to three daughters.<\/p>\n

Their birth comes just over a month after Queen Rania<\/a> revealed that her daughter Iman was pregnant<\/a>. “The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn\u2019t be happier for Iman, Jameel, and soon-to-be big sister Amina!” the Queen wrote alongside a photo of Jameel holding Amina as she touched her mom Iman’s baby bump.<\/p>\n

The proud grandmother also wrote in Arabic (translated to English): “A new joy is on the way\u2026 Congratulations to Iman, Jameel, and my darling Amina, who will be a big sister. May God grant you a safe delivery and bless your future.”<\/p>\n

Iman and Jameel, who wed in March 2023, became first-time parents in 2025. As with their twins, Amina was born one month after Rania revealed that her daughter and son-in-law were expecting their first child.<\/p>\n

“My darling Iman is now a mother. We\u2019re grateful and overjoyed to meet Amina, our family\u2019s newest blessing. Congratulations Jameel and Iman \u2013 may God bless you and your precious little girl,” Rania wrote at the time.<\/p>\n

Iman’s twins are King Abdullah II<\/strong> and Queen Rania’s third and fourth grandchildren. Their first grandchild, Crown Prince Hussein and\u00a0Princess Rajwa<\/strong>‘s daughter, Princess Iman, was born in August 2024.<\/p>\n

Unlike her royal cousin, Amina does not hold a royal title. Queen Rania has kept Amina’s face private in the photos she has shared of her granddaughter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rania looked forward to becoming a grandmother long before any of her children had kids of their own. During an appearance on Good Morning America in 2022, the Queen shared, “I used to always say my favorite title is mama, but I think that\u2019s going to quickly change” to the “Arabic word for grandma.”<\/p>\n

“My goal is to be like fun grandma,” Rania added. “We have a saying in Arabic that no person is dearer to us more than our children than our grandchildren.
