Disney Theatrical Group has announced that its new stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman will open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in Spring 2027, following a sold-out run at Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Based on the 2017 hit film, the musical features songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a book by Tim Federle, and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw.<\/p>\n
Leading the company will be Oliver Tompsett as P.T. Barnum and Samantha Barks as Charity Barnum. They will be joined by Ben Joyce as Phillip Carlyle, Vaj\u00e8n van den Bosch as Jenny Lind and Malinda Parris as Lettie Lutz. Further casting is yet to be announced.<\/p>\n
The production will feature the award-winning songs from the film, including \u201cThe Greatest Show\u201d, \u201cA Million Dreams\u201d, \u201cCome Alive\u201d, \u201cRewrite the Stars\u201d, \u201cNever Enough\u201d and \u201cThis Is Me\u201d, alongside new songs written for the stage adaptation by Pasek and Paul.<\/p>\n
The Greatest Showman becomes the first title from 20th Century Studios to be adapted for the stage by Disney Theatrical Group. The Seelig Group, a producer of the original film, is also producing the musical.<\/p>\n
