Sheffield United<\/a> have been in a tough spot this summer, but they must resist any temptation to cash in on striker Ryan One.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United are entering the new season shrouded in uncertainty<\/a>. There is hope that Chris Wilder can work his magic again, but there are questions over whether there is money to spend at SUFC, and if there is, whether they can.<\/p>\n

The ownership are locked in an ongoing wrangle with former chief Prince Abdullah, and it has limited the Blades to just two signings. Harry Souttar is being pursued<\/a>, but key players Gustavo Hamer<\/a> and Andre Brooks have both been sold.<\/p>\n

There are worries that more sales await at Bramall Lane. However, one player United must hold onto amid growing interest is young striker Ryan One.<\/p>\n

Why Ryan One must not be sold by Sheffield United<\/a> this summer<\/p>\n

One joined Sheffield United<\/a> from Hamilton Academical in 2023 and has been held in high regard since. He first impressed at academy level before coming into senior contention.<\/p>\n

Off the back of a strong loan<\/a> with League One title winners Lincoln City<\/a>, One\u2019s stock has risen. The 20-year-old had already drawn interest from elsewhere, but Scottish giants Rangers have recently made a loan-to-buy offer for the striker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was said that talks had continued after the offer was rebuffed, but SUFC must hold firm on any interest in One. Of their current strikers, he has by far the highest ceiling, and although Patrick Bamford and Tom Cannon appear to be favoured by Wilder at present, there is a chance that the Coatbridge-born prospect emerges as the Blades\u2019 best option up top over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

He would yield a welcome fee now, but if he can break through at Bramall Lane and prove his abilities in the Championship, One\u2019s value will increase tenfold. He already has a good level of senior experience but it is his physical profile that will set tongues wagging.<\/p>\n

The Sheffield United<\/a> man is a powerful young striker with great speed for someone standing at 6ft 2in. His Lincoln City<\/a> loan showed he can be clinical when presented with enough chances and if he can round out his wider game, clubs will start to view him as a complete striker who could grow into a real star.<\/p>\n

The Verdict: The best is yet to come from Ryan One at Sheffield United<\/a><\/p>\n

Having shown his talent at such an early stage in his career, the excitement over One\u2019s future is justified. There is a good chance that, with the right coaching and game time management, that he goes on to play at a high level in the years to come.<\/p>\n

By bowing to bids this summer, Sheffield United<\/a> would be missing out massively. Not only would they lose a striker who could quickly emerge as one of their standout players, but they would be passing up the chance to make an even bigger profit in the future.<\/p>\n

Ryan One\u2019s\u00a0Lincoln City<\/a>\u00a0stats<\/p>\n

In just a year, or maybe even a matter of months, One\u2019s value could grow significantly. From a business perspective, SUFC should hold on so they can make real gains in the long-term.<\/p>\n

If funds do need to be raised this summer, the Blades would be far wiser cashing in on the likes of Mark McGuinness<\/a> or Tom Cannon<\/a>, who have struggled to impress since arriving.<\/p>\n
