Poverty Alliance<\/a>\u2019s Citizens\u2019 Panel, a group of members of the public which has been considering the cost of rural living and how it impacts them.<\/p>\nMembers of the panel are drawn from across Aberdeenshire and Argyll and Bute,\u00a0including Dunoon, highlighting both the challenges and strengths of rural communities and how\u00a0people\u2019s\u00a0lived experience can guide positive change.<\/p>\n

The exhibition in the Colm Docherty Gallery in Dunoon Burgh Hall is a thought-provoking, socio-economic\u00a0exploration\u00a0told in their own words and images.<\/p>\n
It is the culmination of two years of consideration, contemplation and research, underpinned by shared dialogue and individual reflections of lived experiences in some of the country\u2019s more remote areas.<\/p>\n
The Poverty Alliance is the national anti-poverty network in Scotland.<\/p>\n
It is a membership organisation made up of civil society organisations from across Scotland including grassroots community and voluntary organisations, national organisations, campaign groups, trades unions, faith groups, university and colleges and research organisations.<\/p>\n
Public bodies, statutory organisations and commercial organisations are part of their network as associate members.<\/p>\n
Their vision is a Scotland free of poverty, with social, economic, environmental justice for all, where everyone can flourish and is treated with dignity.<\/p>\n
