Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Saturday that Moscow had sought clarification from Washington and Ankara over the reported plans, Reuters reported.<\/p>\n
Moscow warns of damage to bilateral ties<\/p>\n
Zakharova said any transfer of the US weapons and ammunition held by Turkey to Kyiv would have serious consequences for Russia\u2019s relations with both Washington and Ankara.<\/p>\n
Such a move would cause \u201cserious harm … to our bilateral relations with Washington and Ankara,\u201d she said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The reported weapons transfer comes as diplomatic tensions surrounding the Russia-Ukraine war continue to intensify, with Kyiv increasingly targeting military and strategic infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.<\/p>\n
Ukraine strikes industrial site in Samara<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ukraine reportedly launched a major long-range strike on industrial infrastructure in Russia\u2019s southwestern Samara region on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Samara city head Ivan Noskov said Russian air defence forces repelled a \u201cmassive\u201d missile attack that caused localised damage to industrial facilities and injured several people, according to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the attack targeted the Progress Center in Samara, a facility linked to Russia\u2019s state space agency Roscosmos.<\/p>\n
Zelenskyy says Flamingo missiles used<\/p>\n
Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces used Flamingo missiles to strike the Progress Center, which he said was involved in electronics production.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Russia\u2019s Samara region, one of the key enterprises within Roscosmos \u2013 the Progress Center, which was involved, among other things, in electronics production \u2013 was hit. Flamingo missiles were used,\u201d Zelenskyy said in a post on X.<\/p>\n
He also claimed that Ukraine had struck Russia\u2019s Savasleyka airbase, located deep inside Russian territory and associated with aircraft used to launch missile attacks on Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Kyiv claims damage to Russian oil facility<\/p>\n
Zelenskyy further said Ukraine had confirmed damage to an oil facility at Ust-Luga, more than 800 kilometres from Ukraine\u2019s border.<\/p>\n
He described the strikes as part of Kyiv\u2019s \u201clong-range sanctions\u201d campaign against Russian military and energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeace is needed, and this must be evident in Russia \u2013 through concrete damage to specific facilities,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n
