Liverpool are expected to tie up the signing this week after indicating to Bayer Leverkusen that they plan to activate Frimpong’s release clause<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It will see the 24-year-old complete a \u00a329.5million move to Anfield ahead of next season.<\/p>\n

However, Conor Bradley is understood to be set to start the season as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s successor.<\/p>\n

The England international will leave Liverpool<\/a> when his contract expires this summer.<\/p>\n

Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Spanish giants Real Madrid<\/a> on a free transfer.<\/p>\n

Bradley, meanwhile, has penned a new long-term contract with the Reds through to the summer of 2029.<\/p>\n

The signing of Frimpong will see him add extra competition for places alongside Bradley at right-back.<\/p>\n

It is likely to be the first of many signings for Arne Slot this summer.<\/p>\n

His side are also eyeing a move for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian has featured in all 36 of the Cherries’ Premier League matches this season, scoring twice and adding six assists.<\/p>\n

A potential move for Alexander Isak rests on Newcastle’s final league position, though.<\/p>\n
