The Italian is among the frontrunners to land the Ibrox job – but faces a quick turnaround if he gets the gig<\/p>\n

Rangers next manager candidate Davide Ancelotti<\/a> IS expected to link up with dad Carlo at Brazil amid conflicting reports over his future.<\/p>\n

However, the Real Madrid<\/a> coach is expected to confirm a quick-fire exit from the international set-up after just two games.<\/p>\n

Ancelotti Jr has long admired by the 49ers Enterprises and incoming Ibrox sporting director Kevin Thelwell as the search for Philippe Clement’s permanent successor ramps up – and is understood to be on the shortlist of candidates.<\/p>\n

But the Scottish Premiership giants face a whirlwind summer if they opt to go with Ancelotti.<\/p>\n

The Athletic<\/a> have revealed that Ancelotti Sr and Jr will stick together with Le Selecao – but only for two pre-agreed games against Paraguay and Ecuador.<\/p>\n

Reports last week had suggested that the trusted lieutenant would stick with his dad as a key member of the backroom team on the road to their place in USA, Canada and Mexico.<\/p>\n

Davide is now “expected to leave after the two World Cup qualifiers” – with the second clash against Paraguay taking place in the of morning on June 11 at 1.45am UK time.<\/p>\n

Francesco Mauri – currently technical assistant with the La Liga heavyweights – is also expected to follow Ancelotti Jr to his next club despite previous suggestions he would remain within the Brazil set-up.<\/p>\n

If he gets the nod, it would leave Ancelotti with just 11 days to become accustomed to the Ibrox environment – should he land in Glasgow 12 hours after the full-time whistle against Paraguay.<\/p>\n

Nicolas Raskin revealed the Ibrox men are due to report back on June 23 for pre-season.<\/p>\n

Rangers<\/a> will enter the Champions League <\/a>at the second round stage just a month later – with the first leg scheduled for July 22\/23.<\/p>\n

Clubs who reach the elite competition are handed \u00a315.7million just for competing the league phase by UEFA – but the prize pot is expected to surge to at least \u00a340million per club.<\/p>\n

With a host of incoming and outgoing players expected when the US consortium take control at Ibrox a hasty turnaround could be on the cards following the end of the Premiership campaign last Saturday.<\/p>\n
