(Valentyna Yeltsova\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">South Korea\u2019s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) is drafting new rules to tighten Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, as well as labeling requirements for customized health functional foods, with public feedback accepted until August 31. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">The aim is to improve manufacturing and quality management standards for health functional foods. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">The MFDS, for example, will introduce GMP standards when reprocessing \u2013 a procedure where repeating an established manufacturing process for semi-finished products that have deviated from predetermined manufacturing or quality-control standards \u2013 is involved. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"The-longevity-pill-NMN-craze-in-China-drives-sales-spurt-for-US-Japanese-NZ-brands.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/LZ4K3YZFG5OL7KFGK64D3QVPKA.png\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is colloquially known as \u2018the longevity pill\u2019 in China. \u00a9Getty Images <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is an unapproved ingredient, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has stated in a notice sent to two companies based in Gujarat, India. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">As seen by NutraIngredients, the notice dated July 24, 2026, was directed at the product Decode Age NMN, which is said to contain the \u201cunapproved ingredient Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN)\u201d and is sold through e-commerce platforms such as Amazon India and 1mg. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-article-body-skinny\">NMN supplements can be widely found on India\u2019s e-commerce platforms.
