Bristol City<\/a> could see Scott Twine leave Ashton Gate in the next few weeks as clubs monitor his situation.<\/p>\n

Bristol City<\/a> are rebuilding this summer following the appointment of Michael Skubala<\/a>. The Robins have been active this transfer window, and there could be more exits before any new signings are made.<\/p>\n

One player who could be on his way out of Ashton Gate is Scott Twine. According to Pete O\u2019Rourke<\/a>, several clubs are following the attacker\u2019s situation at the club after he has failed to start in their opening two games.<\/p>\n

The Robins<\/a> signed the 27-year-old from Burnley<\/a> in August 2024 for a fee of around \u00a33.2m. In the last two campaigns, Twine has been a key attacking outlet under both Liam Manning and Gerhard Struber and helped his side reach the play-offs two terms ago.<\/p>\n

With Bristol City<\/a> making plenty of changes, the attacker could be next out the door, and if Skubala doesn\u2019t envision him as part of his plans, then an exit makes sense. Either way, a decision on his future must be made in the next week.<\/p>\n

Who could Scott Twine\u2019s next team be?<\/p>\n

There aren\u2019t many sides in the Championship that would pass up an opportunity to sign Twine this summer. He has promotion-winning experience in the second tier and has a solid record at this level.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old will still feel he can make an impact in the Championship, so it\u2019s highly unlikely he drops down to League One. He won\u2019t come cheap either, with Bristol City<\/a> likely demanding a fee over \u00a35m.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United<\/a> could be a team that is keen, following Gustavo Hamer<\/a>\u2019s exit, as well as Stoke City<\/a>. Birmingham<\/a> City could also be in the mix, and Bolton Wanderers<\/a> may also be interested. However, they are probably unable to afford his price tag.<\/p>\n

The Verdict: Bristol City<\/a> should sell Scott Twine<\/p>\n

If Skubala doesn\u2019t see Twine fitting in with his style of play, then Bristol City<\/a> must cash in this summer. The attacker\u2019s price tag should be at an all-time high following last season\u2019s displays, and it is a good opportunity for the Robins<\/a> to make a reasonable profit.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old is a great player at Championship level, and it could backfire massively should he be sold. Someone of his calibre needs to be getting regular minutes, and it\u2019s no surprise teams are already monitoring his situation after the first two games of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Twine<\/a> does have two years left on his contract at Ashton Gate, so there is no pressure for Bristol City<\/a> to sell straight away. Skubala may still plan to utilise the attacker, especially after two consecutive defeats.<\/p>\n
