The Pok\u00e9mon World Championships is taking place later this month, and as usual, there’ll be some game-related announcements.<\/p>\n

According to an official post about the World Championships “Preview Show”, trainers can look forward to a “special” announcement for the Switch 2 exclusive, Pok\u00e9mon Pokopia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Don’t forget to tune in for a special Pok\u00e9mon Pokopia announcement taking place for Pok\u00e9monXP and 2026 Worlds!”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Preview Show for the 2026 World Championships will take place on 21st August 2026<\/strong>, and can be viewed on the official Pok\u00e9mon Twitch<\/a> channel and Play! Pok\u00e9mon YouTube<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n

This year’s Pok\u00e9mon World Championships event is scheduled to take place in San Francisco, California between 28th – 30th August 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nintendo and The Pok\u00e9mon Company most recently revealed Pok\u00e9mon Pokopia sales had surpassed five million units in “just over four months”. The game also recently received a new update, bumping the title up to Version 2.0.0<\/a>. It was released alongside the Expansion Pass content Bubbly Basin<\/a><\/strong>, which will be followed by Part 2 in late 2026, and Part 3 in 2027.<\/p>\n

When this announcement is revealed, we’ll provide an update.<\/p>\n
