\nafternoon. We are delighted to\u00a0see you in\u00a0Moscow again.<\/p>\n

Before we begin our discussion, I\u00a0would like to\u00a0convey my\u00a0sincere condolences regarding the\u00a0tens of\u00a0thousands of\u00a0local
\nresidents affected by\u00a0intense monsoon floods in\u00a0your country.<\/p>\n

Relations between Russia and\u00a0Myanmar were
\nestablished as\u00a0early as\u00a01948. Since then, they have been steadily advancing, becoming
\nespecially trusting in\u00a0recent years<\/p>\n

We are grateful for\u00a0your assistance in\u00a0promoting Russia\u2019s relations with ASEAN. We are actively cooperating on\u00a0the\u00a0international stage.<\/p>\n

Certainly, we also need to\u00a0focus on\u00a0the\u00a0economic front. There is good groundwork in\u00a0place and\u00a0a\u00a0number of\u00a0promising
\nprojects. Our cooperation in\u00a0the\u00a0security sphere is also developing.<\/p>\n

You have a\u00a0long and\u00a0busy programme prepared for\u00a0your visit to\u00a0Russia, and\u00a0I\u00a0am sure you will have an\u00a0opportunity to\u00a0discuss all
\nthese issues.<\/p>\n

\nRussia many times, but this is my\u00a0first official visit as\u00a0President of\u00a0Myanmar.<\/p>\n

We have been actively developing relations
\nbetween our two countries, not only on\u00a0the\u00a0international stage but also in\u00a0other areas. As\u00a0you mentioned, our country has experienced severe flooding. The\u00a0floods have not yet subsided, and\u00a0I\u00a0would also like to\u00a0thank you for\u00a0your
\ncondolences.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0would like to\u00a0take this opportunity to\u00a0express my\u00a0gratitude to\u00a0Russia for\u00a0its support. Last year, devastating
\nearthquakes struck our country, resulting in\u00a0numerous casualties. Russia promptly
\ndispatched rescue teams, and\u00a0many of\u00a0our people were rescued. I\u00a0still remember
\nthis. Therefore, I\u00a0would like to\u00a0once again express my\u00a0gratitude to\u00a0Russia for\u00a0its support.<\/p>\n

Today, relations between our two countries are
\ndeveloping rapidly. During this meeting, we will be able to\u00a0discuss all
\npossible agreements aimed at\u00a0expanding our bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

Thanks to\u00a0Russia\u2019s support and\u00a0your personal
\nsupport, we have achieved many positive results in\u00a0our relations on\u00a0the\u00a0international stage. I\u00a0would like to\u00a0note, however, that much work remains to\u00a0be done to\u00a0achieve our goals and\u00a0ensure the\u00a0long-term development of\u00a0our
\ncountries. Russia has always supported our country and\u00a0continues to\u00a0do so, and\u00a0I\u00a0would like to\u00a0express my\u00a0gratitude for\u00a0that. Looking back at\u00a0the\u00a0history of\u00a0our relations, our two countries have always enjoyed good relations, and\u00a0I\u00a0am
\nconfident that they will remain strong in\u00a0the\u00a0future.<\/p>\n

Mr President, I\u00a0would also like to\u00a0emphasise
\nthat Myanmar is a\u00a0reliable partner of\u00a0Russia in\u00a0Southeast Asia. Myanmar always
