Next month, over 300 pieces of clothes and accessories worn by the British Royal Family, including items worn by the late Princess Diana<\/a>, will be up for auction at ‘Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection’, hosted by Julien’s Auctions.<\/p>\n

The auction will feature iconic pieces from Diana’s wardrobe, including her signature red nylon ski outfit, custom-made pieces by Gianni Versace and couture daywear by Catherine Walker.<\/p>\n

Also featured in the auction are shoes, handbags, and accessories reflecting Princess Diana’s evolution from royal newlywed<\/a> to global humanitarian and style icon.<\/p>\n

British designer Elizabeth Emanuel, famed for co-designing Diana’s wedding gown, said: “Diana’s timeless beauty and style continues to inspire. I’m honored to share these memories with the world.”<\/p>\n

Diana was seen in her iconic red ski suit multiple times<\/a> from 1985 to 1992. The ensemble, created by Baltimore-based brand Head, has a blouson-style bodice with dropped shoulders and dolman sleeves.<\/p>\n

Diana showcased the ski suit in 1986 with a braided headband and gold hoop earrings, and later in 1991, she wore it with a cropped haircut and sunglasses.<\/p>\n

Another item for auction is a Bruce Oldfield two-piece yellow and floral-patterned silk suit. Diana wore it on June 17, 1987, while attending Royal Ascot. She was accompanied by Queen Elizabeth II and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, at the event.<\/p>\n

A portion of the proceeds from the items will benefit Muscular Dystrophy UK, honoring Princess Diana’s charitable legacy. Muscular Dystrophy UK is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with muscle wasting and weakening conditions.<\/a><\/p>\n

The late Princess of Wales was a long-standing supporter of the charity and helped raise awareness of the organisation’s work.<\/a><\/p>\n

Julien’s Auctions is the world-record-breaking auction house behind the 1.14M sale of Diana’s evening gown in 2023 and her 390,000 shoes in 2024.
