Arsenal<\/a> have an agreement in place to sign Ezri Konsa, after Aston Villa were told to warn him a move could affect his standing within the England set-up.<\/p>\n

Konsa has played for Villa<\/strong><\/a> for seven seasons, racking up 286 appearances in that time. He\u2019s come to be one of the most well-respected defenders in England, also making 28 appearances for the Three Lions, for whom he was an integral member of the team who reached the 2026 World Cup semi-final.<\/p>\n

As a result of his recent performances, Arsenal have been sniffing around Konsa all summer.<\/p>\n

But Villa have stood firm on their \u00a360million valuation, and the Gunners had been reluctant to spend that on the Villa man.<\/p>\n

But now, insiders have revealed the deal for Konsa to head to the Premier League champions is done.<\/p>\n

Per The Athletic<\/a>, a deal is agreed for a \u00a351million deal, with add-ons on top of that fee.<\/p>\n

The defender is said to have said his goodbyes to his Villa team-mates on Wednesday, with his medical set for Thursday.<\/p>\n

Konsa sent England warning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to the deal being completed, former Villa scout Bryan King told the Midlands outfit to warn Konsa about his England future.<\/p>\n

He told Football Insider<\/a>: \u201cI would say to Konsa: \u2018Now listen, mate, you\u2019re playing for England, you\u2019ve got that cap because you played well, you\u2019ve got that position to play for England because of the performances you\u2019ve done with Aston Villa.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Now,\u00a0let\u2019s get the job done this season.\u2019\u00a0I want to see Aston Villa,\u00a0if in their thinking,\u00a0they should be finishing second or third here, not fourth or fifth.\u00a0They should be finishing second, third.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey should be challenging Manchester City here.\u00a0But,\u00a0I think it\u2019s a very, very strange transfer summer they\u2019ve had,\u00a0to let such good players go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Villa have already sold Morgan Rogers for \u00a3117million this summer, while our friends at TEAMtalk report aware that Ollie Watkins is open to heading to Al-Hilal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is also speculation over the exit of Emi Martinez, after Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki was signed as the club\u2019s new No.1.<\/p>\n

Konsa, Watkins and Martinez all exiting the club in quick succession would see a host of the players who have built the Premier League success of Villa since they last returned from the Championship gone.<\/p>\n

While replacements will be sought, that could be detrimental to the club\u2019s chances of success.<\/p>\n
