Dan Burn has been one of Newcastle United\u2019s most important players this season. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Burn<\/a> has made 45 appearances across all competitions for Newcastle United<\/a>, missing only two games since August. <\/p>\n

The defender has established himself as a legend at St James\u2019 Park<\/a>, too. While always a popular figure amongst the fanbase, Burn scored a brilliant goal as Newcastle won the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool<\/a> in March 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also become an England international after winning his first cap for the Three Lions against Albania shortly after the Carabao Cup<\/a> victory. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Newcastle tried and failed to sign a new centre-back last summer. With Sven Botman injured too, it\u2019s meant that Burn has had to move from left-back into central defence, albeit Lewis Hall\u2019s form has helped.<\/p>\n

The Toon star was speaking to Sky Sports during their campaign with Boots Online doctor to highlight the importance of mental health in football.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Interestingly, he revealed that he actively wanted to put weight on this season after moving back into central defence from left-back. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis season, because I\u2019ve changed left-back to centre-back, I\u2019ve made a real effort to try and put weight on,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve probably put five kilos of weight on just because I felt as if for the position I play, I want to be as dominant as possible.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Such is his importance to the cause, Burn will almost certainly start for Newcastle against Everton on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Eddie Howe<\/a>\u2019s side need to win the game against the Toffees in order to ensure they qualify for next season\u2019s Champions League<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Burn is one of Newcastle\u2019s most important players<\/a> and will be needed at his brilliant best if they are to avoid a slip-up on the final day of the campaign. <\/p>\n

According to the Newcastle official website<\/a>, Burn stands at 198cm, which equates to around 79.1 inches.\u00a0<\/p>\n
