The tragedy sent shockwaves through Joshua\u2019s camp and the wider boxing community.<\/p>\n
Nigerian authorities said the crash occurred after the SUV had tyre trouble.<\/p>\n
Chauffeur Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, was later arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The case was adjourned until next year.<\/p>\n
The tragedy came days after the boxer had returned to the spotlight following his victory over Jake Paul in Miami.<\/p>\n

Following the crash, the boxer posted a tribute to the pair on Instagram, saying: \u201cI didn\u2019t even realise how special they are.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men.<\/p>\n
\u201c100% it\u2019s tough for me, but I know it\u2019s even tougher for their parents.\u201d<\/p>\n
Joshua showed inspirational \u2018resilience and strength\u2019 by returning to the gym just three weeks after the smash.<\/p>\n
Long-time promoter Eddie Hearn posted a photo on X showing him working out on an exercise bike next to the fighter.<\/p>\n
Eddie, 47, said AJ\u2019s \u2018loss is heavy\u2019 and he will \u2018take his time to get back on track\u2019. But he said the boxer was \u2018truly grateful\u2019 for the support and love shown for his pals.<\/p>\n

The tragedy cast doubt on whether AJ would return to the ring or hang up his gloves with Eddie saying he would need time to recover \u2018physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually\u2019 before he got back in the ring.<\/p>\n
After he beat Albanian Kristian Prenga in his return to boxing last month, emotional Anthony dedicated his victory to his late pals, saying: \u201cIt\u2019s more than punch power. That was spirit, that was Latz, that was Sina, that was the families.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt hurts to even talk about it. It has been tough. It\u2019s my brothers. I don\u2019t want to talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
His representatives are currently negotiating a potential New York fight against fellow ex-world champ Tyson, 38.<\/p>\n
