KING Charles has asked David Beckham if he “received his 50th birthday present” as the monarch let slip he had sent a mystery gift.<\/p>\n

Their meet comes just days after their children had met – with Prince Harry and wife Meghan holding a secret mansion meeting<\/a> with Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz.<\/p>\n

The former England<\/a> captain was at the Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> on Monday for a tie-up with the monarch to encourage youngsters to embark on a career in horticulture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charles was reportedly heard asking Becks, 50, if he had received a gift for his birthday last month.<\/p>\n

The monarch was heard saying: “You got it, didn’t you?”<\/p>\n

And David replied: “It was incredible, thank you, it was very kind.”<\/p>\n

Camilla was also heard saying: “Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses.”<\/p>\n

Becks chatted and smiled alongside Charles at the annual event as they bonded over their love of gardening.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the King and Queen did not comment when asked if they had sent Becks a birthday present.<\/p>\n

It comes just days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hosted a secret meeting<\/a> with Brooklyn Beckham<\/a> and his wife Nicola Peltz<\/a> at their Montecito home, amid rumours Posh and Becks are in a feud with their son<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Becks has served as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation<\/a> for almost a year, signing up last June<\/a> after dining with Charles at Highgrove a month prior.<\/p>\n

He was at the flower show for the Harmony charity, launched via the foundation with Alan Titchmarsh<\/a>, and met the King and Queen at the Highgrove Shop stand.<\/p>\n

And she was also overheard asking if a party\u00a0was at Beckham’s house.<\/p>\n

David added: “We had a busy weekend this weekend, it was a lot of fun.”<\/p>\n

This comes just days after Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz enjoyed an intimate dinner at Prince Harry and Meghan’s \u00a311mn Montecito mansionCredit: Instagram<\/p>\n

And said: “It was the perfect weekend.”<\/p>\n

It is unclear exactly what weekend Becks was referring to.<\/p>\n

He celebrated his 50th without Brooklyn with a star-studded party on Saturday May – but had a string of parties in the Cotswolds, Paris and London spread over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Footage from the event on Monday shows the moment Charles, donning a sharp blue suit, shakes Becks’ hand as the pair shared a laugh.<\/p>\n

Beckham was also seen wearing the King’s Rose alongside his beige suit.<\/p>\n

The new rose was unveiled at the annual flower show after 12 years of development and breeding at the David Austin Roses nursery in Shropshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It boasts striking papery petals striped of fuchsia and white and boasts around 20 buds per stem.<\/p>\n

Goldenballs wore the King’s Rose in his lapel as he greeted Charles and Camilla<\/a> at the Highgrove Shop stand.<\/p>\n

Former Man United<\/a> ace David said to Camilla: “Your Majesty, it\u2019s so nice to see you.\u201d<\/p>\n

As she gestured at his buttonhole, he said: “It’s so beautiful, so beautiful, congratulations.”<\/p>\n

On his tour, Charles stopped to inspect the King\u2019s Rose at David Austin\u2019s stand inside the Great Marquee.<\/p>\n

He leaned in and asked \u201cDoes it smell?”<\/p>\n

Owner David replied: “It does smell, it\u2019s a lovely musky fragrance.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about\u00a0breeding roses the green-fingered King enquired about the 12-year process saying: “It takes so long. What did you do to get it to grow?”<\/p>\n

He reacted with astonishment after being told the\u00a0rose named in his honour was grown from\u00a0one of 60,000 seedlings first planted\u00a012 years ago and developed by 20 staff.<\/p>\n

Charles, holding a long cane, replied: “I must say, this is amazing.”<\/p>\n

This comes after The Sun exclusively revealed<\/a> Harry and Meghan dined with Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz in Montecito and shared “common ground” amid their respective family feuds.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex and Nicola found \u201ccommon ground\u201d after both were accused of wrecking their husbands\u2019 families, sources told The Sun.<\/p>\n

Harry offered his \u201cunwavering support\u201d to Brooklyn at the private get-together amid their ongoing \u201ctoxic\u201d family feuds.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the dinner had been arranged before the acrimonious fall-out between the Beckham<\/a> clan, the quartet were said to have \u201cfound a lot of common ground\u201d.<\/p>\n

A source familiar with the intimate event said: \u201cThis was an unexpected invite, but one gratefully received by Brooklyn and Nicola, who both feel pretty battle-wounded.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry and Meghan<\/a> were very empathetic and very kind to them both.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey didn\u2019t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is understood the quartet swapped mobile numbers, but it is not known whether they have stayed in touch.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn was only 13 when he last met Harry.<\/p>\n

He was having dinner with his dad at The Sun\u2019s Millies awards in 2011 when the young prince came over to say hello.<\/p>\n

David and wife Victoria<\/a>, 51, also attended Harry and Meghan\u2019s 2018 wedding.<\/p>\n

Not long after, they gave them full use of their Beverly Hills home so they could \u201chide out\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, the four fell out when ex-Suits actress Meghan, 43, accused Victoria of leaking stories about her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun at the time: \u201cInexplicably, she feared Victoria was behind [the leak] \u2014 I mean, the idea that Victoria Beckham would be personally ringing journalists to give them a scoop is ridiculous \u2014 and spoke to Harry about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry was very polite, but obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry also reportedly snubbed David \u2014 at Meghan\u2019s behest \u2014 at the 2018 Invictus Games.<\/p>\n

The catered Montecito soir\u00e9e was a pre-arranged event, with Nicola invited through another VIP in attendance, one close to both Meghan and Harry.<\/p>\n

Around 18 other guests were in there, including Paramount CEO Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, earlier this month the Princess of Wales<\/a> appeared to pledge her support to Victoria in the row, wearing a \u00a31,300 suit made by the fashion designer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sources claim Kate\u2019s decision to wear it to the British Fashion Council awards event was an act of \u201csartorial solidarity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mum-of-four Victoria is believed to be \u201cincredibly touched\u201d by the gesture.<\/p>\n

Former England captain David is also good pals with Kate\u2019s husband Prince William<\/a>. <\/p>\n
