If you don’t fancy going to the cinema this weekend to check out the likes of Insidious: Out of the Further and Mutiny, then you might be looking for a movie watch to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.<\/p>\n

There’s just so many streaming services these days though that it can be near-impossible to find a movie to watch. We don’t want you spending hours trawling through the catalogues, so that’s where we come in to help.<\/p>\n

We’ve looked back at the past week to see the best movies newly added to Netflix, Prime Video and more for your viewing enjoyment.<\/p>\n

The Wild Robot: One of the best movies of 2024, The Wild Robot is a gorgeous and heartwarming animation that follows a shipwrecked service robot who becomes the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose.<\/p>\n

With an incredible voice cast that includes Lupita Nyong’o, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Pedro Pascal and the late Catherine O’Hara, it’s the kind of animation that’s absolutely not just for children. A must-see. <\/p>\n

Also new to Netflix this week: <\/strong>Mission: Impossible \u2013 Fallout, Reservoir Dogs, Desperado, The Tailor of Panama, Charlie Wilson\u2019s War<\/p>\n

Is God Is: While it got a cinema release in the US, Is God Is had a surprise appearance on Prime Video this week after skipping a cinema release in the UK. But don’t hold that against it as you’ll be missing out on “one of the best movies of 2026”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It follows two sisters who embark on an epic quest for revenge against their father (Sterling K Brown) who disfigured them in a fire when they were children, after they discover their mother is still alive. <\/p>\n

Also new to Prime Video this week: <\/strong>No Country for Old Men, Arlington Road, Hobbs & Shaw, Magpie, Trap, Edge of Tomorrow, Split, King Richard<\/p>\n

Best movie new to BBC iPlayer this week\"sarah<\/p>\n

Yesterday: Hailed as a “real crowd pleaser” by viewers on IMDb<\/a>, Yesterday saw British icons Danny Boyle and Richard Curtis unite for a rom-com about a struggling musician (Himesh Patel) who wakes up in a world where nobody remembers The Beatles.<\/p>\n

Naturally, he uses it to become the star he always wanted to be, even if it risks his relationship with his manager and childhood friend (Lily James). And when two people (Sarah Lancashire and Justin Edwards) approach him, saying they also remember The Beatles, things get even weirder. <\/p>\n

She plays neglected pensioner Elsie who strikes up an unexpected friendship with her neighbour (Andrea Riseborough) that improves both of their lives. But when Elsie’s son (Jason Watkins) visits, it sets in motion a shocking turn of events that will leave you stunned. <\/p>\n

Set in 1976, Jones plays documentary sound engineer Gilderoy who finds himself working on a low-budget Italian horror. As he throws himself into his work, he finds that the line between real life and fiction begins to blur to terrifying effect. <\/p>\n
