King Charles<\/a> gave a rare update on his cancer journey during an engagement last week. <\/p>\n

The monarch spoke about his health during a visit to Bradford, England, while in conversation with florist Safeena Khan. <\/p>\n

Khan said that Charles told her \u201cI\u2019d like to think I\u2019m on the better side,\u201d and gave her a \u201cthumbs up\u201d during an inquiry about his health, according to The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe asked me how I was, and I asked him how he was,\u201d Khan also relayed to the outlet. \u201cThere were some pleasantries towards the end, but it was a lovely conversation.\u201d <\/p>\n

Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer<\/a> in February of last year.<\/p>\n

While not much is publicly known about the extent of the king\u2019s condition, Buckingham Palace revealed in late March that Charles was briefly hospitalized. <\/p>\n

The palace said in a statement at the time that the monarch was canceling engagements<\/a> after experiencing \u201ctemporary side effects\u201d due to a cancer-related treatment. <\/p>\n

\u201cHis majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow\u2019s diary program will also be rescheduled,\u201d the palace said. \u201cHis majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.\u201d <\/p>\n

Aside from Charles\u2019 brief hospitalization, there was increased attention on the monarch\u2019s health after his youngest son, Prince Harry<\/a>, gave an emotional interview to BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the sit-down, the Duke of Sussex revealed the extent of his strained relationship with the king, and how it\u2019s affected his own knowledge of his father\u2019s health. <\/p>\n
