Sheffield United<\/a>\u2019s transfer approach is set to shift towards the free agent and loans market, as per The Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United<\/a> have to tweak their plans amid off-field issues<\/a>. SUFC have had to stall their pursuit<\/a> of long-term target Harry Souttar from Sheffield United<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t have to be all doom and gloom for the Blades though. They have an experienced manager in Chris Wilder and still have some solid Championship<\/a> players at their disposal in the likes of Patrick Bamford, Callum O\u2019Hare and Japhet Tanganga<\/a>, among others. <\/p>\n

They also have a nice blend of youth in players such as Oli Arblaster and Sydie Peck, as well as experienced heads like Bamford, Joe Rothwell and Matt Doherty. If they can add in some useful free transfers and loans, there is no reason why they can\u2019t still have a successful campaign. <\/p>\n

Sheffield United<\/a> drew 0-0 at home against Birmingham<\/a> City on the opening day and although they weren\u2019t able to find a winner against the Blues, they were solid defensively and can be satisfied with a point to start with. They are back in action this weekend with a tricky away trip down to South Wales to take on Swansea City<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Their squad was stacked with the experience of McBurnie, Egan, Matt Crooks, Lewie Coyle and Paddy McNair who all knew the league inside out. Sheffield United<\/a> should now follow a similar blueprint and make signings who are tried and tested in the Football League. The Tigers have proved that you don\u2019t need to spend silly money to get out of the division. <\/p>\n

There are plenty of available free agent players<\/a> who Sheffield United<\/a> could target now. SUFC should keep an eye on Will Smallbone, Axel Tuanzebe, Joe Aribo, Beni Baningime, Solly March, Alex Gilbert and Ryan Fraser. <\/p>\n

The Blades can also tap into the loan market well. As Premier League clubs sign better talent closer to the deadline, more individuals will become available. <\/p>\n
