According to director <strong>Shawn Levy<\/strong>, it only took a six-minute pitch from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murphysmultiverse.com\/sdcc-26-ryan-gosling-joins-the-mcu-ghost-rider-set-for-2028-theatrical-release\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">star <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.murphysmultiverse.com\/sdcc-26-ryan-gosling-joins-the-mcu-ghost-rider-set-for-2028-theatrical-release\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Ryan Gosling<\/strong><\/a> to convince him to helm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murphysmultiverse.com\/officially-official-marvel-studios-puts-ghost-rider-right-where-we-thought-it-would-be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the 2028 film<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though it was announced at SDCC \u201926, few details about <strong>Ghost Rider<\/strong> are available at the moment as <strong>Jonathan Tropper<\/strong> works on the script. <strong>Gosling<\/strong> is rumored to be playing Johnny Blaze in the film, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murphysmultiverse.com\/first-rumored-details-surface-for-ryan-goslings-ghost-rider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">will also reportedly feature the return of <strong>Sacha Baron Cohen<\/strong> as Mephisto<\/a>, though a casting search for the film\u2019s main villain remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>As the search for clues about the film continues, one tantalizing tidbit that should provide some assistance in tracking production has come up: Disney has created a new production company, Throttle Productions LLC, that would seem reasonable to associate with <strong>Ghost Rider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"975\" height=\"963\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/123858224-e1787407510636.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-107027\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though there\u2019s no confirmation just yet that <strong>Ghost Rider<\/strong> will film under Throttle Productions, or that the LLC is a Marvel Studios company, the registered company has all the hallmarks of a traditional Marvel LLC. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It clearly fits the motorcycle-heavy aesthetic of <strong>Ghost Rider<\/strong> and has only been registered in the United States (<strong>Levy<\/strong>\u2018s film is rumored to be filming in California, Oregon and Nevada) and the timing of its creation aligns neatly with work officially beginning on the project. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll keep on top of things with the new company and will be able to confirm whether or not it is a Marvel Studios project in the next month or so.
